It was lunch break and we were sitted at our table.Tasha was sitted in the middle sandwiched by me and Quincy.On the other side of the table was Shamalla and Lucas.We had been sitted there for about thirty minutes eating as we talked about how we still had a long term ahead of us."God!That is a lot of homework and punishment,"I said."It seems to me you never do any of the two.I wonder how you managa to mantain the good grades."Lucas said laughing as he dipped a fry into his mouth."Yoh!I do study alot.Infact I spend some of my free learning.I just don't like the homework.It's boring."I said trying to justify myself."Nerd,"Tasha and Quincy both said at the same time.I threw fries at them rolling my eyes as everyone on the table laughed.
By the time we were getting up from our table we still had about ten minutes till the bell rang.We all walked to our lockers.I knew the afternoon was going to be long since it was Friday.Friday afternoons always seemed to be longer than the other afternoons .It's like Friday had a mind of its own knowing we students were waiting for the weekend to relax and take it easy.I personally believed that Friday was evil and no one was going to change that mentality.

"Okay guys.I'm leaving now.Be safe.Remember all the rules?" Mom asked as she walked to the door with her bag in hand."Yes mom.All of them.Travel safe now.Bye,"I said walking towards her trying to make her stand outside so that I could close the door.She stepped out as she adjusted the bag on her back."Stay safe kids.Bye,"she waved at us as she got into her SUV and started the engine.We stood at the door as we watched her drive and as soon as she was out of sight I shut the door.It was Saturday morning,six in the morning to be precise when mom woke up to prepare to leave to go check on the construction.We expected her to be back on Sunday evening.
Aunt Jade walked into the living room asking us what we wanted for breakfast but we all murmured nothing as we went back to sleep.Since it was a Saturday we were sleeping in and having brunch.Most of the Saturdays Aunt Jade had breakfast alone or she would sometimes join us.On hearing our murmurs I aslo heard her heading to her room and closing the door.I got into my room and closed the door.I checked my phone for any new notifications.There was one from Tasha and another from Jessy and a few others on Instagram.I opened the one from Jessy first.He was asking if he could come with a friend and I didn't see any problem so I agreed.The one from Tasha said she would be over at two oclock.I checked the time and it was six fifty am.

Perfect.I'll just wake up at ten.

I then set an alarm and got into bed.After tossing and turning for about ten minutes I decided that I no longer had in sleep left in me so I pulled a Harry Porter novel from my shelf.It was a small black shelf with three tops placed against my blue walls just beside my black desk.It had scyfy novels,the Harry Porter series and others on the top shelf.I was big fan of Harry Porter.On the second shelf were textbooks of different subjects mostly science.On the bottom shelf was my art stuff since I loved art.Even though I wasn't that much of an artist I still could do some stuff on art and I loved it.I sat on the carpeted floor and started reading the book getting lost in the world of Harry and his friends against Lord Voldemort.A few hours later my alarm went off.I put my bookmark on the last read page and put the book back.I went to the bathroom to freshen up the woke Ell up.
After cleaning up I put on a black t-shirt with a girls face on it looking sideways with blue darkwash jeans.I tied my hair in a bun and went to the kitchen.Aunt Jade had already prepared brunch so by eleven thirty we were all at the table eating.
After eating I did the dishes.Just as I was sitting on the couch there was a knock on the door.I opened it only to be engulfed in a hug by Tasha and Quicy at the same time.
"Guys we are going to fall down if you don't let go,"I struggled to breathe out as they let go and got in.
"Where's Ell?Hi Jade"Tasha said as she looked around the house."You think I'm going to allow a niggah into my house with Ell in here.That's a death wish for us both cause Ell gone blurt everything out.I would be toast,"I said laughing."Good point.Now where's your fridge?"Quincy said as she headed into the kitchen."Dude don't empty the place and don't touch the healthy stuff. My mom's batshit crazy about her babies."I said quoting the babies reffering to the healthy stuff."When's this Jessy guy coming anyway?"Tasha asked from the TV room as she scrolled through the channels to find something interesting.
"He'll be here in about ten minutes or so.Go get my laptop by the way or you've got yours?"
"Nop,I'm using yours obviously,"she said as she stood to go to my room.A few minutes later she was back with the black acer laptop.She set it on the table as Quincy came into the room.No sooner had she sat the there was a knock on the door.We all remained sitted expecting the other to get it.We looked at each other and burst out laughing."Comeon you stay here we expect you to open it."Quincy said in between fits of laughter and Tasha added "Totally,"
I stood up rolling my eyes as went to get the door.Just as expected Jessy had come with the friend who was putting his bike on the lawn.As he lifted his face he glanced at me and smiled.Wait.I know this guy.He goes to our church.Though I had never talked to him,I saw him occasionally.I was confused as hell because he looked at me as if he knew me.I never talked to him and always made sure he  never saw me.Why was he smiling.He walked up the steps and stood beside Jessy.He stood at a height of almost 5'9 being abit taller than Jessy by at most a foot.He was wearing a pink shirt with black panda prints on it with black shorts and grey slides.

Which guy wears a pink shirt?My inner voice asked as I almost burst out laughing.

Jessy then cleared his throat and that is when I noticed I was staring at his friend and I looked down.I scolded myself inwardly as I stretched my hand out to greet him while smiling,"Moe,"
"No-noah,I'm in the same grade wi-with him."he said still smiling and staring as he greeted me back.I felt like I'd been standing there for hours until Jessy cleared his throat again and we both took our hands away.
"Come in,"I offered and they walked to the TV room where I heard them exchange greetings and names."Well that was easy,"I murmured to myself as I joined them."So Moe,here's the drive.It's actually Noah's but he's totally cool,"he said gesturing to Noah who was sitting beside him staring at his phone's screen but still gave a thumbs up.I took it and gave it to Tasha who was sitting beside me and she got to work.I started ranting thanking him and his friend for the drive and explaining how they'd really helped us by bringing it when Jessy cut me in."Shut up Moe.You talk too much We get it.You appreciate the help now we gotta leave,"he said and everyone laughed as I rolled my eyes knowing he was totally right."Ouch!"Quincy squeaked and laughed.I gasped in mock hurt as I held my chest and turned to Noah."Do I talk too much?"I asked imitating a small girl's voice,"wrong question.You just met me.Do I look like I talk to much?"
"So much,"He said looking serious and then burst out laughing when I gasped as If I was surprised."So much for a nice to meet you,"I said under my breath rolling my eyes. I smiled at them as they stood up to leave."Bye girls,"Jessy said as they got out and we waved.
"Nice to meet you too,"Noah said smiling as they took their bikes.

He wasn't supposed to hear that.Shit.
