"It all felt like a dream, a bittersweet dream."

That thought quickly crossed my mind before it faded from my memory just like smoke rising to the sky.

JULY

I just entered my first year of college and everything was new for me. I was offered a full scholarship in Seoul National University, at first I was a bit hesitant to take the offer since I never really considered studying abroad, I talked to my parents about it. They explained the opportunities of studying in an international school, but also stated the cons of studying abroad such as the difference in culture, homesickness, and convenience. They've always supported me, and It was up to me to make the final decision. I gave it a few days more of thinking and I took up the offer. I was set to leave for South Korea a month after.

AUGUST

On the way to the airport, I was filled with excitement but I also felt nervous at the same time, since it was my first time leaving home to pursue my studies

On the way to the airport, I was filled with excitement but I also felt nervous at the same time, since it was my first time leaving home to pursue my studies. I arrived around 1:00pm in the afternoon and went straight to the apartment I was gonna stay in for the school year. The place I was staying in wasn't that far away from the university, it was clean, spacious, and had a great view. I decided to go and check out the campus so I can familiarize the place.

A few months had passed since I arrived in Seoul, it was the autumn season already, I managed to adjust with the lifestyle there and of course I also learned the culture as well. At first, it was a bit hard to communicate since my korean wasn't that good and I only knew short phrases like "Thank you" (감사합니다), "Where is this/that"(이것은 어디에 있읍니까?), "How much is this(얼마예요?)" but after taking up korean classes it got a lot easier for me to go around and also meet new people along the way.

A/N:
This is probably the only parts which are a bit fast paced, but the othe parts of the story isn't that fast I'm sorry if that bothers you. I'm more focused on build ups rather than going straight to the point.

I'm very open with suggestions and recommendations since I myself is still learning how to write :) . Thank you!

I hope you guys enjoy the book and don't forget to vote ^^! I try to update once or twice a week depending on my schedule.

Quarantine made me do it.
