DECEMBER
A few weeks had passed since our trip to Itaewon and school became too busy for any more weekend trips. The holidays were coming up and everyone was rushing to finish up their work before heading home.
Most of our classmates went back to their home towns and countries, even Si Bin went back to Jeju island where his family resides to celebrate the season. He asked me to come with him but as the introvert I am I was too shy and kindly declined. I was left alone for the holidays, I was left alone for the holidays and I called my parents to greet them. I asked how they were spending the holidays, if they were fine, and told them that I missed them. I realized how lonely it was to spend the holidays all alone compared to when I was back at home.
It was the first time I experienced snow fall since I lived in a tropical country. The streets were white and twinkled with colorful Christmas lights.
I started to feel chilly so I went to a nearby coffee shop, it was pretty busy that time, and some people had to share their tables with others.
Luckily, a couple had just left and I found myself a table for two, which was funny for me because I was all alone on christmas day. A few hours had passed and I was still in the coffee shop, looking out the window as snow fell heavy outside, and my mind was just floating up in the clouds thinking of ways I can make this day memorable.
