Dick's POVSo as you know I boarded the ship Queen Anne's Revenge last night. Now I understand why Syreana wanted someone aboard the ship, but why me? Why couldn't she send Tim or Damian. I mean I'm her first mate for goodness sake! Whatever, if I'm going to do this I'm going to do it better than anybody could. Yes I'm gonna be like that.
That night I did get a fair amount of sleep. I usually wake up naturally, so it wasn't a surprise when I woke up that morning with the rest of the crew still asleep. Well most of the crew...
When I jumped out of my hammock I saw that the man below me was also awake. He was calmly reading a book. When he looked up he gave me a nod to acknowledge my existence. Then he looked back at his book. "This is the only quiet time you're ever going to get until late at night. Though we only have a few minutes before the chaos begins."
He informed me, still reading his book. Taking one quick glance at me he remarks, "So if you like the quiet I suggest you wake up earlier."I nodded my head. "Thanks,"I held my hand out,
"My name is Dick by the way."The man's calm, nonchalant expression slowly turned into a grin. I closed my eyes and sighed. As I was about to draw my hand back he placed his in mine.
"Jason,"He greeted. After we shook hand he made the remark I expected. "And I would advise you to pick a different name for yourself."
His statement made my chuckle. "Yeah I probably should, shouldn't I?" With that we both heard a clunk come from above. Jason places a piece of paper to mark his page, and set his book on his hammock.
"Noisy time?" I asked ready for the madness.
"Hmmhm."
Right after he hummed in response "zombiefied" men came in and woke everyone up. And the day began. The first few hours I kept my eyes out for Jack Sparrow. He had a very distinct look, so you couldn't exactly miss him if your eyes crossed him. I sighed in frustration, not being able to find him as quickly as I wanted.
Jason raised an eyebrow at me. "What the hell is up with you?"
"I'm looking for someone. His name is Jack, Jack Sparrow." I said hoping he may have seen him.
"I think he's the one over there with scrum." Jason said as he got back to tying rope.
I looked in the direction he had gestured to, and I indeed saw Jack. He didn't have his iconic hat on, so it was a bit harder to find him. "Thanks."
"No problem." Jason said shrugging his shoulders as if it wasn't a big deal.
As I made my way over to Jack and scrum I overheard there conversation. When I looked up I saw a man tied up to the pole holding up the sails. Apparently the poor soul is a missionary. I made a note to self to make sure to help him later.
When I looked back to the ground, I glanced up to see Jack still in the same place. I acted naturally and went back to work. Well... after I gave a message to Syreana of course.I acted as if I had to scratch my neck and grabbed my necklace in the process. Then I whispered into it as sneakily as I could. "I found him." I let it drop back down to my chest after finishing. A small flash of green flickered from the shell, but only for a split second. Though that seemed enough time for someone to notice.
"That's an interesting necklace mate."I looked up to see Jack looking at me. It looked like he had a slight idea what was going on. So I simply smiled at him. His eyes widened. "Wait do you-?" Sadly for him he was cut off by one of the zombiefied men.
