Be not inhospitable
To strangers,
For they may be an angel
In disguise.

Months have passed and Lee Moon-Bae was ready to go home. After all, she resolved the game of throne in her mind, not to mention that she was craving Yo's presence.

Moon-Bae sent the maid back to Kaesong because she herself was going home the next week. Or so she thought. Hyun stayed by her side still as the shadow guard but he was not as discreet as Yeong.

It was a rainy night, with all the thunderstorms and wind, a man dragged himself in the house. Under the impression that he was a robber, Hyun raised his sword in a flash, Moon-Bae took a lamp and found that the said man was injured badly.

She motioned Hyun to help him to the bed, she examined the injury and was quite worried. The man looked like he had run a long way with the injury. It seemed that he was chased by someone or something.

With more lamps being lit, Moon-Bae could see clearly. The stranger's wounds told her that he was playing with swords and arrows. It was complicated, but nothing she could not fix. It would take time, especially with the lack of required equipments.

"Hyun, do you mind fetching my medical box and clean cotton? Oh bring alcohol along."

Hyun did not utter a word but did as he was told. He knew a thing or two about herbs and medicine after staying with Moon-Bae for months.

"Hyun, we have Japanese Thistle right?"

"Yes mama"

"Find them for me, we need to stop the bleeding"

Hyun then went out in the garden with a lamp and fetch them. He knew what he was supposed to do, he took a mortar and pestle and grind the herb.

Lee Moon-Bae was busy stitching the wounds and disinfecting the area. Luckily, the insides were not harmed too badly. It was hard enough performing a surgery without modernised equipments, also the lack of nurses and assistances made it harder for her.

When the surgery was done successfully, dawn was already breaking. Lee Moon-Bae looked pale and was ready to collapse in exhaustion. Hyun changed the stranger's clothes as Moon-Bae went to wash up, when she came back she collapsed in the futon Hyun set up and slept immediately.

Hyun was tired too, rushing around the garden in search of rare and tiny herbs in the middle of a rainy night was not ideal. So he quickly approached his room and fell asleep as well.

The next morning, Lee Moon-Bae found herself checking up on the injured stranger. He did not look like a normal man, with a face too noble and hair that seemed to well tended. His clothes screamed normal but his aura even when he was unconscious screamed power.

Though the stranger looked powerful, he looked nothing like Yo. Moon-Bae could not help but compare, after all she missed her husband very dearly. As a consort, she knew that she had strayed from home for too long but as a doctor, she knew she could not leave a patient behind. So, she decided to treat the man till he healed. Who knows, maybe he would prove to be a significant acquaintance later.

Hyun was surprised by Moon-Bae's caring nature. After all, the real ill-fated consort knew nothing of kindness towards strangers nor such precise medical care. He had been watching and guarding her from afar since she came to Goryeo.
