On The Path of a Hero

The week went by pretty quickly, I had manged to make a few friends, Suzuno, Kasai, a girl with heterochromia in her right eye, short black hair and a white strike in front, named Kirika Etsuko, and a boy with long strawberry blond hair tied into a low ponytail, named Kazumi Kinoshita. Kinoshita and Kasai were very outgoing, and loud, it was very fun to watch them do the stupid stuff they do. Suzuno rarely ever joined in their antics, she liked to watch. Like me, they too were training to become hero's, except I haven't started yet, but I'm going to start soon. strangely enough, Todoroki and I would hang around each other every once in a while, but no one really said anything. Tanjiro, Inosuke and I, would walk home together everyday, and I would sit with them for lunch whenever I could, but Tanjiro always tells me to go sit with my other friends, he would say it like, a kind motherly way, like he wanted me to make more friends. 

But, as the week came to an end, my training would have to start. 

Nezuko came running up to me and engulfed me in a big hug " Y/N !" .

" Hi, Nezuko " I said patting her head. 

" I heard you were gonna start training with us today." She said, eye's glimerring.

I chuckled and put my hands on my hip. " yep, I'm training with you guys today"

Fast forward an hour or two, and we were in the backyard, which was actually pretty big. Tomioka was nowhere to be seen, so I guess he was at work, he wasn't at home often. That meant Mr. Urokodaki was the one training us, he was a retired hero. Tanjiro and Nezuko had already started, so that meant it was just me and Mr. Urokodaki. Mr. Urokodaki was a nice man, but he could be very intimidating, and harsh it was in my best interest not to get on his bad side.

Looking at Tanjiro and Nezuko train, meant I could slighlty understand what their quirks were, they would have to train in a certain way afterall. I could see Tanjiro training with a wooden sword and it looked like he was practicing his 'breathing techniques'? Would they still be called that? I have no idea. On the other hand, I could see Nezuko she didn't have a sword with her but instead she was practicing combat, and I saw her kick the head off a dummy with ease, and with speed. Nezuko did have the smallest fangs and her eyes didn't look like a regular humans, so I had always assumed that her quirk had something to do with her original demon form in the anime. 

" Y/N" Mr. Urokodaki looked at me.

I stiffen up " yes?"

" Tell me about your quirk? what can you do" 

Iwaizumi, who had been sitting on an unused dummy had flown over to me and sat on my shoulder.

SQUAWK SQUAWK

("you basically have the powers of an angel! you can heal people as well as grow wings and fly. This also includes manifesting weapons made of light.")

I looked back at Mr. Urokodaki " I basically have the powers of an angel?" I said with a teeny bit of confusion in my voice.  "I can heal people as well as grow wings and fly. This also includes manifesting weapons made of light. But I think if I heal people too much I could wound myself"

he put his hand to his chin " I see. If you can grow a pair of wings, try to do that now"

I looked at Iwaizumi, hoping for a bit of guidance. 

SQUAWK

(" Try imagining growing a pair of wings ")

Using that advice, I close my eyes and imagine growing a pair of fluffy white angel wings. Suddenly, I feel something on my back.

Iwaizumi flys off my shlouder 

SQUAWK

(" you did it! you grew wings!")

I open my eyes, and looked at my back. There were wings on my back, they had to have had a five meter wingspan. I tried flapping them, and that led to me creating a gust of wind that threw dirt up into the air, and that ruffled Mr. Urokodakis' hair. I grabbed my left wing to feel it.

" It's so soft and fluffy!" I said with a hint of amusement in my voice.

" Whoa!" Tanjiro looked at me with awe. Nezuko starred in surprise " They look so pretty!" this coused me to chuckle.

I tried flapping them even more to get my self air born, it took about three flaps and I was already  three meters in the air. Since I didn't know how to fly, I stopped flapping my wings and fell to the ground, luckily I landed on my feet. 

"sweet" I said smugly to myself, as a small grin grew on my face. " now, how do I get them off" I tried doing the opposite of what I did to get them on, so I tried imagining them coming off, and they quickly shrunk on into my back, leaving a feather here and there. 

" So I kinda got that down"

An hour passed and I had slightly manged to practice with my wings, Nezuko pointed out that the wings weren't even attached to my back, but instead they just slightly hovered in front of it, leaving a small space between my back and my wings.

Another hour passed, and with the help of Iwaizumi I had figured out how to manifest weapons. All I had to do was imagine what kind of weapon I wanted. Sometimes the weapons was really bright and hard to look at directly, or it was really hot, I did mange it get one that was in between. The only weapons I could make at the moment, was a Katana, a bow and arrow combo, or a little plasma gun that shot these tiny little plasma beams. Of course I would have to learn how to use all these weapons and how to make new ones, something like that would take time, not to mention I also had to learn how to fly, and how to fight. 

During this training session I had found out what Tanjiro and Nezuko's quirk was.

Tanjiro's quirk is opening tread and Fire Dragon.  Fire Dragon was passed down from generation yo generation, however it was most powerful in it's prime and will die with age. It is a hard quirk to master but the hanfuda earrings help keep it under control.

Nezuko's quirk is  blood burst Demon. she can explode her own blood or the blood of others, but the blood has to be outside of their body. she also has incredible strength and speed as well as the ability of regeneration.

They already had mastered their quirk to some extent, but something like that would take years, but I only had about 10 months.

' at least I won't get my quirk the day of the exam, poor Midoriya'

Hope you liked this chapter, I finally got to writing Tanjiro and Nezuko's quirks. 

I don't want Y/N to be too OP. I do think she has a strong quirk, but she doesn't know how to use it very well. I hope she doesn't come across as a typical OP MC.
