New Year's With Airhead

After Christmas and a night of chicken and even more chicken. You woke up in your bed like usual, stretching your arms and getting out.

Thinking about what had happened last night, with Aoi kissing you under the mistletoe. Your thoughts were interrupted by your crow flying through the manor, bumping into several walls as it frantically tried to find you, it landed on your shoulder and-.

"CAW! DEMON UP IN THE MOUNTAINS! CAW!!! HURRY! HURRY!" you swatted the crow away from your ear and it frantically flew out where it came from, bumping into the same walls.

You got changed into your demon slayer uniform after eating and cleaning up. You were about to exit until.

"Wait!" Aoi's voice was heard from behind, you turned around and she grabbed your collar and pulled you in for a quick kiss "good luck"

"Thanks" and with that you left for a mission on New Years.

The mountains during Winter could not have been any colder, the snow felt heavy and deep that your foot sunk around 20 cms into it. You were shivering in your uniform, which tried its best to keep in the warm (thanks uniform).

Your shivery feeling of the cold went away, replaced with a new feeling. Annoyance and anger. They came as your eyes caught the sight of a familiar boy, wearing an oversized uniform, turquoise eyes and long hair. He seemed to have seen you too.

"YOU!" the 2 of you said at the same time, with clear anger in both of your voices.

"Is this some kind of sick joke?" you were in disbelief that you had to work with Muichiro.

"The only joke is your skill!" he spat back.

"Why you little" you lunged at him, grabbing at his hair, but he grabbed your arms and began wrestling you for power.

"My point exactly" he kicked you in the side, in response you stretched your legs to hit in the face. He stammered backwards, you did a flying backward kick and hit him square in the stomach, following up with a roundhouse kick which connected with the side of his face, he fell into the snow sputtering and coughing.

"HA! I win" you walked away feeling like a champion.

Muichiro picked up a snowball and threw it at full force at the back of your head.

"Ow, what the hell-" you turned around and was interrupted by Muichiro jamming his thumbs into your eyes, you smacked his arms away but he turned to the side and double punched you in the groin and head.

He right-hooked your head and you fell back against a tree, he tried to knee your face but you caught the leg, pushing the rest of his body against another tree, you picked him up and threw him on the ground.

Getting on top of him you put his head in a headlock, he struggled to get out of it, elbowing your sides to the best of his ability, until eventually deciding to dig his nails into your side, you winced with pain and made the headlock tighter, both of you were squirming in the snow, he dug his nails in harder and you tightened the headlock.

Eventually after minutes both of you got tired and stopped, pushing each other away to take in deep breaths.

You and Muichiro stood up, giving each other dirty looks until you eventually made your way to the town. The snowy terrain covered the steps and pathway of the town, the roofs covered in snow and many of the townspeople dressed for the occasion.

"Oh travellers?" one older lady said

"Yes we are... well more like investigators" she seemed confused "we are here to investigate the report missing people in this town"
