Today was the day, the day all of the selected are forced into a small area and given the order to kill or be killed. When I first woke up Karen told me I could wear what ever I wished.

Walking straight over to my bag I pulled out the cloths I had brought from home knowing way to well how the first test will wear down what the person is wearing. After dressing I made my way over to the window.

Sighing I starred out the window and was met with the brightest blue sky I have ever seen, this would be a perfect day if it wasn't for the whole death situation. I couldn't help but get lost watching each of the puffy clouds float by.

This could be the last day I would ever see the bright blue sky, that thought alone saddened me a bit. I was once again so absorbed within my own thoughts I didn't feel a small tap on my shoulder.

"Lady Rain? Are you alright?" Turning I found Lin giving me a rather small smile. "Yes Lin, I think so." Shaking her head she lead me over to the mirror.

"Do you see what I see?" Starring into our reflections I shook my head, "No, am I suppose to see something?" Giving a slight laugh she shook her head.

"I didn't think you would, for what I see is a strong women ready to fight for her life. But I also see a young girl that is not prepared to head into battle." My breath hitched at her words.

Tilting my head I looked into her eyes, "Lin, do you think I could win?" Nodding she turned,Turning with her I was greeted by Sarah and Karen holding a small pendent.

"Lady Rain we believe that you have the best chance of winning." Sarah said her voice almost a whisper. She walked to me holding out the pendent.

"This here is a grift from us, its a protection pendent. It will active when you are in grave danger." Placing it around my neck she stepped in giving me a hug.

"Are you afraid?" Her voice a low whisper. "Yes, yes I am." I stated making eye contact with Karen. "Lady Rain, I have seen you train and am sure you will survive. But remember some times skills are no match for pure insanity."

I blinked a couple times not quite understanding Karen's statement, before I could ask a small pinch entered my neck. Sarah pushed me back, her mouth moving like her was apologizing.

I shook me head attempting to tell her it was alright, but nothing came out. Suddenly the darkness consumed me.
