I stared into his eyes debating on what to tell him first, there were many things I could start with. I think the best way to get it through his thick skull is to tell him about her.

"My great aunt Cinda was contestant in a selection years ago, and she was killed." I awaited for his response and I received nothing. Nothing but a blank saddened stare, "I am so sorry Regina." His voice shaking.

I shook my head, "It's in the past now, but what it taught me is that the scariest creatures are not monsters, they're other humans. Everyday people that are desperate, desperate for love, desperate for money, desperate for power. "

Clutching my sides I turned to Koji still was in a state of shock, "But worst of all, she didn't die in the first test, oh no. She was killed by one of the other selected in the last round." His breath hitched as I said those words.

"They can't do that, why didn't a maid or a guard come to her aid?" I shrugged, "No one really knows how she wasn't saved. Some said her maids were kidnapped and held so they couldn't help, others spread that the guards were payed off by the killer. Either way she died that day."

I looked into the Prince eyes seeing nothing but shock, "That's insane, so the first test is just death?" I nodded, "Yes the second deals with memory and knowledge about everything. Some say that you could even lose your sanity."

Standing up abruptly I watched him begin to pace about the room, "I can't believe this, what didn't my parents tell me any of this!" "I don't know, there could be several reasons but at least you know now."

Some one had to tell him and there was no way his parents would trust him with this, from just this conversation alone he look extremely guilty. "Are you going to be ok?" I asked standing up as well.

"No, no I am not. I just found out that what ever girl I am marrying has probably killed at least one person! On top of that my family has gone behind my back and is basically deciding for themselves which girl I am to marry so no I am not ok!"

Crossing my arms I continued to watch the scene unfold, well that least he's being truthful. "Wait! Regina since you shared this with me I have something to tell you!"

My eye brow raised awaiting for him to respond, "Are you going to tell me?" He shook his head and nodded, "Yes, yes. Watch out for my Father since he's the main person control what happens within all of these so called tests."

My eyes widened, no way. "Really? Your Father is the one controlling everything?" He nodded, that would explain somethings. Like how he decided to have the test in two days, there had to be some plot behind it.

I was so wrapped up in my own thoughts I didn't hear a voice appear from across the room, "Koji? Are you in there?" I looked to Koji with a panicked look in my eyes.

He shook his head and placed a finger on his lips I nodded in response as i watched him walk over to a small white box on the wall. "Yes Mother?" There was a slight pause on the other end before the Queen's voice came through.

"Koji is everything alright? You left the dinning room in quite a hurry." "Yes Mother I'm fine, just a little under the weather you see." A slight pause again, "Alright dear, please fell better." "Yes I will."

We both let out a sigh before he rejoined me on the other side of the room, "What is that thing?" I asked pointing at the box. "Oh that, it's a way to communicate with other rooms in the castle."

I nodded, so the royals get that cool thing and the rest of the world get letters. Great. "Sorry about that I left the dinning rom in quite a rush." "Why?" I asked rather curious.

"Well you didn't look well and I was quite curious myself. You had a sword strapped to your waist i was wondering if i would be able to see you in action." I smirked, "Well you did."

He smiled and placed a hand on my shoulder, "Are you afraid?" I nodded, "Please, I am heading into an area with a bunch of other people that want me dead, why wouldn't I be horribly frightened?" My voice raising with each word.

He rolled his eyes and patted my shoulder, "You my dear have nothing to worry about." I raised a eye brow, "Really? That's reassuring coming from you." "It should be, you are able to handle yourself. I've seen you fight I know you have the skills to survive."

I gave him a small smile, yea I guess he's right. In the end I don't have anything to fear, rolling my eyes I started to head for the door. "You heading back to your room?"

I nodded, "Allow me to walk you back." "Well thank you your majesty." Thank gosh too, I have no idea how to get back. Once we arrived back at my door I smiled, "Thanks for showing me back." He bowed, "I was my pleasure m'lady."

Rolling my eyes my sight went back to the symbol on my door, "Hey weird question, how did you know I used a sword?" He shook his head, "My older sister said she saw you with one." Older sister? The only person I can think of it that lady from the festival!

That makes so much sense! That was princess Eve, well she looked different then i expected. I wonder if she used a spell or something? "Well Good night." I said rather awkwardly.

Giving me a broad smiled he bowed once again, "Good night Lady Regina." I turned watching his leave before entering my room. Awaiting my arrival was my three maids.

"So what's he like?" Asked Lin suddenly, " You work in the castle wouldn't you know?" They shook their heads. "No, only certain maids are allowed to attend to the Prince."

I shrugged and staggered to the bed, "Well i did find that the King is the so called master mind behind the test." The three of them looked at each other . "But the King told us he has no part in deciding his son's partner."

Stopping in my tracks i turned to them, "Your telling me he lied to both the selected and staff?" Sarah shrugged, "It would appear so."

Turning back to my bed my eye brows furrowed, so what game are you playing King of the liars?
