Have a great day!)When answerless secrets start to creep
Into your mind, straining your sleep,Seek for the ones who came before you,
For they hold your answers so true. When vengeance and anger start to creep
Into your soul and you must reap,Seek for the child who came after you,
For they hold your spirit anew.-Tamisra-
I've always known that Nukpana wasn't quite right, but to resort to war? That's simply ridiculous, even for him. I need to speak with him to reach some kind of understanding of his idiotic plan.
As I near his office, I sense a change....a powerful change. I step lighter, as to not make a sound with my steps and creep closer. Quite mumbles sneak through the cracks of the door.
"Councilor Nukpana, I can feel that your plan worked," a voice remarks in a hushed tone. I've heard it enough to recognize Hunapo as it's owner.
"Yes indeed. I feel the power of Speculum swirling with the essence of Umbra. It's glorious."
"And what came of Faulkner?"
"His physical demise was quick. Occasionally his soul whimpers for the comfort of Nihil. Quite unfortunate for him."
"So why have you called me here sir?"
"Hunapo, my dear friend," his steps clicking on the tiled floor, "Soon we will be able to rule the thirteen realms. As my loyal servant, I will give you control of Lingua and Motus as payment for your duties."
"Thank you sir for your generosity."
"We shall soon be ready for conquest. The moment the mirror opens we will charge into battle. Judging from the energy of Speculum flowing within me, it may be soon."
"May the essence of Bellum bless us in our journey."
"What irony it will be when the realm of war loses to the realm of glass," he chuckles.
I leave the corridor as silently as I entered. This cannot be happening. I must stop this. I may have sworn allegiance to the council, but first I vowed to protect this realm and that is my duty till the day I am no more. I only need to find someone who will share my morals. Someone who could help.
Revon., the descendant of Liberias.
I find my way to her study, barging in and slamming the door behind me.
"Tamisra, I'd prefer if you knocked."
"I'll keep that in mind, but I'm the moment I have an important question to ask you."
Concern wipes her face.
"What is wrong sister?"
"The war is. It isn't for vengeance, it's ruled by a hunger for power."
I sit and explain what I had learned. Revon is studying my expressions the entire time, searching for validity of truth.
"Tamisra....I'm not quite sure if your efforts won't be in vain. If what you said about Nukpana's new abilities is true, we won't stand a chance against him."
"Yes, we do! He may have power, but it won't be only us one the side of righteousness. I'm certain Ms. Glazier will be more than willing to stand with us."
"She's a child! A powerless one at that. No matter how much courage we hold, there's no chance against Nukpana."
"Whose side do you stand on!" I stand, "You hold Liberias' essence, the last piece of evidence of its existence, yet you'd let every citizen in each realm be captured! I know my husband better than anyone and I'm certain that once he conquers the realms he will imprison innocent citizens and rip away any freedoms they may have. Would you let that happen without putting up a fight?"
