(Hey y'all, so this chapter will mostly be Evelyn and Sophia reading from books, sorry not sorry, because it's important to the plot. If something is italicized then it's a Latin spell or them reading. Also, Sophia is technically reading from a Latin book, but I'm pretty sure you would all prefer to read the English version, unless you're a Latin scholar. Anyways, Enjoy and if anything seems confusing please tell me so I can clarify it in the story✌)

Stories flow from the ink in my pen
Only found for they are written
Turn the page and have a look
Don't fear the story books
Eyes open and see
Your destiny

-Evelyn-

Was yesterday just some sick joke or something? Why would she give me a blank book and tell me that it has all the answers?

Questions keep on running through my mind. This just doesn't make sense. Could there be something I'm not seeing? I flip through the book, looking at each page carefully.

Nothing. Each page was as blank as the next.

I give up. There's no use in putting hope into something you can't see anyways.

As I fall down onto the mattress, I hear someone speak.

"Revelare."

My body shoots up as I hear the voice. It's familiar.

I grab the book, my heart filled with hope and fear....it's still blank.

Maybe I need to say it?

I take a deep breath and let the word roll off my tongue with the same flare as the mystery voice.

"Revelare," and suddenly the blank, cream coloured paper starts to ripple and shift until the words are as clear as day.

I thank the mystery voice. At least something is going my way while being locked up in a cell.

Turning to the first page, I'm immediately drawn in. It's Sibyl's diary!

June 21

The war just started to take effect and no matter how hard I try, my fear is getting the best of me. My father, the leader of Speculum was just killed in the attack last night and the people are in disarray. I'm his only child so now it is my duty to lead, but I'm quite frightened of disappointing my people. Charles, my advisor, told me to do what I think is right and to not second guess myself. That's what my father used to tell me. I miss him terribly. No, I cannot reminisce on the past. The only thing I can do now is to lead. At the very least I could make him proud.

Since the start of the war, we have lost at least 17 smaller realms, two of which were connected to us. Unfortunately, once the smaller realms lose their connection, the energy goes to their mother realm since they only have one connection. I wish that they had more pathways. If that were the case, most of them would still be in existence. I'm fortunate enough to live in one of the strongest realms, but my friend, Maryanne wasn't. Her family just barely escaped from Aqua. Once the pathway broke, she was gifted with its energy. It's been tough on her. She's been staying at the capital for training along with two others. I've visited her on occasion and she shows much potential. I can see why the energy chose her.

I take out my journal and start taking notes. I list Aqua as a connecting realm, since Allie only taught me the basic information about the remaining realms, and continue to the next entry.

I haven't been feeling quite like myself for the past few days. Not necessarily weak, the opposite actually, but still not quite right. Charles says the stress is getting to me and suggested that I take a break, but it doesn't feel like stress is the factor and even if it was, there is no break in war. I must continue on no matter how I feel.
