I hear a knock at the door. I'm sure it would be one of the girls or Parker. I open the door. "Mason I have to talk to you." Arden says as she walks in slowly.
"Hey, what's up? I say curiously.
"It's Halsey." she hesitates "she's dead" she continued.
"What? How do you know? This can't be true." I say frantically.
"Yeah Mason I'm so sorry, but it's true." she says as I start to cry. "Mason come back!" she says as I start to run off.
I ran off to a little park I seen when we came to this motel. I stayed there for about an hour wondering the whole time if this all was my fault. If I had caused this to happen. When I got back to the motel Arden was crying while Parker was holding her in his arms. I walked to Arden, and we embraced each other in a hug. I started crying harder as I asked Arden if it was all my fault.
"No no no Mason it's not your fault! It was the Bluff Tactical, they did this not you, this is not your fault at all." Arden said in a depressed tone.
"You swear?" I ask sadly
"Yes Mason it's not your fault I promise." she says reassuringly.
"Okay I'm gonna go to bed... goodnight y'all." I say while walking to my room." When I got to my room I walk to my bed without saying anything to Coltan. He was told the news when I was at the park. He knew not to say anything to make me mad, because I may explode. Pretty smart decision of him I think. After about an hour of silence Kat barges in.
"I hate Parker I absolutely hate him!" she yells obnoxiously.
"What'd he do?" Coltan asks all defensively like he's gonna do something to a 6ft tall guy. Even though Colton was atheistic and in shape, he wasn't a very big guy.
"It's just little things that add up you know?" she asks directed to Coltan.
"Yeah, I know what you mean." He replies. Coltan and Kat then start talking to each other, and before I know it they are both laying together asleep peacefully. I then realize I'll never be able to do that with Halsey anymore. I begin to cry knowing that no one will see me assuming that Parker and Arden are asleep. I miss Halsey so much, why did this have to happen to such an amazing girl. To be honest the most amazing girl I've ever met in my entire life.
