"You betrayed me Isabella!" He roared incredulously.

"Yes, isn't it obvious?" Mom had the expression somewhat similar to what Norman and Ray had when they're belittling an enemy.

Those gazes were the ones that are easily able to send chills throughout my form.

"These children and I and all of the staff are your enemy." She stated one more time.

"B-But why?" I heard Don asked, representing the question I'm sure existed in everyone's mind at the time.

She chuckled after hearing Don's inquiries, "Don't get me wrong, we just happen to share the same interest. I was getting fed up with my life here. Besides, I do not like the future this boy described either, nor his methods and opinions. So I intend to destroy everything." She smirked while asserting her dominant aura on the poor man.

"How dare you!' He began to yell all sorts of profanities about us being mere food and all sorts of things along that line.

I felt a sudden boost of confidence now that I know Mom is on our side. I stood right beside Mom while holding Emma's shoulder gently.

"Thanks mom." I said with a reassured mind. Her gaze was as gentle as I remembered it to be, warm and comforting, just like old times.

Sure, all her ideals and actions in the past were wrong, she made a lot of mistakes by sending unaware kids to their deaths. But I know that deep down, she didn't want all this either. Her eyes show that she really did love us all, and I know that for a fact because escaping from Grace Field forced me to deal with all kinds of people who exist in this cruel world. Cold ones, ruthless ones, and also kind ones. And knowing that mom was still on our side, provides a feeling of comfort that could never amount to anything else. Everyone readied their gun and aimed without relenting.

"It's over." Emma commanded at the disheveled man, who seems to be trying to refuse the fact that he's on the losing side.

Suddenly, he let out a very loud unforeseen screech that caught all of us off guard. He managed to snatch one of the sister's guns and shot his way out of the bunch. We were ordered to not kill him, but to negotiate with him. So amidst the abrupt aggression, I wasn't sure what to do. Should I shoot him on the leg to immobilize him?

"________, get down!" I heard Oliver's voice rang as he dashed to my direction, before I snapped back to see that Peter Ratri had his gun aimed in my direction.

With my reflexes, I immediately hurled myself to the side and fell in the process, and I rolled on the ground to avoid the barrage of bullets shot simultaneously and blindly by the frantic Ratri.

"Thanks Oliver." I rose myself from the ground to notify the boy that I'm still alive thanks to his warning.

Suddenly, I felt Norman pulled on my arm a little firmly, moving us to the side. I can see his brows furrowed at me with a distraught look on his eyes.

"Stay focused!" He said a little anxiously after examining my body for any possible wounds.

"Y-Yes, I'm sorry." I nodded before I saw him leave in a distressed manner.

I shook my head multiple times before clearing all my negative thoughts away and-and avoid getting scolded by the Norman boy at all cost!

Norman told us that judging by the little escape route Peter Ratri chose, he must've reached the hall by the time we got there. We dashed off wasting no time on our side. Just as predicted, we found Peter Ratri running to our direction, unarmed and exhausted. We aimed our gun once more at him, blocking his only way out. His breathing was ragged, but his posture was still as calm and poised as ever.
