"So Emma, what do you plan on doing after this?" Mom asked us gently on behalf of the other workers.
"Well we'll retreat for now, there's still the 2000 imperial soldiers after all. But once this is all over, let's go to the human world mom!" Emma answered with a grin on her face.
"I've made a promise with him for it to be that way. Of course, that's only if you want to. Once everything is done and the promise is implemented, everyone can come to the human world without a doubt!" Emma continued cheerfully.
"You're going to forgive us after what we did?" One of the sisters asked with guilt lacing over her voice.
"Just like Emma said, you're all doing this to survive." I said looking straight at Mom's eyes.
Mom's eyes widened for a split second before she gave us all a very gentle smile, "We'll stay here, we appreciate your offer but-," before she can continue her verdict, Ray cuts her off.
"Get over it! You were sick of this and have your regrets right? Then atone for it and take care of them in the human world. Being alive means that there's a chance for me to atone and clear my conscience. No one will resent anyone, we're not holding grudges. So let's go, all of you with us." He said very calmly.
"Listen to him, Mom." I smiled at her.
"Yeah let's go mom!" Yvette, Jemima and all the kids began wailing and gathering up to mom, asking her to come along with us.
Mom was watching the kids in bewilderment.
At the overwhelmingly tear-jerking event, I can see tears welled up in her eyes and soon she started crying before finally kneeling down to embrace the kids in her loving arms, "I'm sorry and thank you everyone!" She sobbed.
"Then it's settled! We'll come back here once everything is settled!" Emma nodded.
"Be careful." Mom got up and cleared away her tears after hearing our farewell.
"We'll be in our way then!" All of us exclaimed to her.
Everyone began to make their way out of the hall. Before joining the rest, I decided to turn around at the last minute and rushed towards mom.
"________?" She managed to let out before I leaped and gave her a big hug.
"I've missed you so much mom!" I sniffled against her before finally letting her go.
She smiled very warmly at me, "My precious spoiled little girl." She pats my head adoringly, just like always.
"Then I'll be on my way, mom!" I chuckled before making my way to the others. "Though, not so little anymore now." I heard her words just before I left.
"Cislo, what's the status?" Norman said through his earpiece, contacting Cislo who stayed to keep watch of the guards posted outside.
"He said that everything's fine, but the imperial soldiers are retreating back to the capital." Norman retorted.
"That's-that's bad! They're probably calling up for reinforcements!" Hayato whimpered.
"Is that really the case?" I asked while trying to comfort the poor quivering Hayato.
"Wait!" An unfamiliar voice interrupted the discussion.
It was one of the moms or sisters, she brought a tablet on her hand, quickly making her way to Norman.
"All of you might want to see this first!" She stated while tapping on several icons inside the tablet.
