1 Year Later....

*Nini POV*

To catch you up on the last year, I'd moved in to Rickys home after my mom's split and both decided they needed fresh starts from Salt Lake. They were happy to let me stay here and finish school as long as I passed all my classes. It was different but it was making us learn how our future would be.

Ricky and I were in the perfect place, senior year was perfect and having him by my side was amazing. After last year we learnt to trust each other and haven't had a fight since then. Currently we were waiting on admissions to our dream school's in New York.

Ricky wanted to go to New York Film Academy and I wanted to go to Julliard with them being under 10 miles from each other, our futures were so bright and we got to move to our dream place together.

"Nini! They're here!" Ricky shouted through the house. Our letters had arrived, this would tell us whether we would be going to our dream school or not. "Ok... 1...2..3" we both ripped open our letters and their were the words "Congratulations Nina Salazar-Roberts we are pleased to offer you a spot in our 2021 Intake! In our musical theatre program, please find details in further packet" I couldn't believe it, I did it I was going to Julliard. "Ricky?" His face was pure shock "I didn't get it. I got waitlisted" his face fell.

"That's not a bad thing, It means they just need to review your application and you'll get in. I know you will, your amazing they have to accept you" I told him as I comforted him.

*Ricky POV*

The truth is I don't want to go to NYFA, I'd applied late as I couldn't decide what to do. I'd also applied to other colleges in New York and was waiting on those letters. I did well on my SATs so I sent in my applications to Columbia and New York University to study a education degree there.

"Nini, the reason I didn't get into NYFA is because I forgot to send in my application and missed the deadline. I sent in my application to Columbia and the letter arrives tomorrow" I told her and she was surprised.

"Your not doing theatre? I thought you liked it?" She asked me "I do love theatre but I want to go study education and then teach music to kids that's my dream" I told her and she smiled. "It's your dream and I'll be here every step of the way, because we'll be together" she said to me smiling as she kissed me.

It was the next day and I could see the post man outside as he dropped the packet into the mailbox, it looked thick that's a good sign. I ran out and grabbed the packet reading it was from Columbia

I called Nini and she met me in the kitchen where we stared at the packet before I slowly opened it and there in words 'Congratulations Richard Bowen we are pleased to offer you a spot in our 2021 intake in Education/Music with honours'

Holy crap I'm going to Columbia "Nini, I'm going to Columbia, I made it" I told her and we cheered together. I couldn't believe I had made it to my dream school with honours.

Graduation was a month away and then Nini and I would be off to start our lives together. But first I had the surprise I had planned for her ever since I gave her that promise ring to plan
