Epilouge Part 1

4 years later

They'd had a crazy 4 years, Avery was now 7 and in school, the twins had just turned 4 and were at daycare.

They'd had it rough at first as they couldn't get used to 2 newborns but eventually they got the hang of it. Ricky started to work from home in the studio they had built while I stayed working at the school so at least one of us was with the babies all day. They had Ricky's dad over most days helping with the kids when they needed to run errands and they were so thankful for that.

Currently I was standing in my kitchen it was 6am about 1hour till I had to get the kids up for school and I was taking a moment to myself and drinking coffee before Ricky came into the room 'Morning Nins' he said as he poured himself a cup of coffee and came over to give me a kiss. This had become their ritual they'd spend some time in the morning alone just to gather their thoughts and then have coffee before waking the kids and getting them ready.

Once they got the kids up and ready for the day it was time for breakfast which most mornings were pancakes made my Ricky, he fed them while I went and got ready for work so that we could leave at 8:30 for school, the daycare and primary school was close to East High so she would drive them everyday.

She buckled the kids up and drove to everyone as Avery chose the music for the car, she'd basically memorised the lyrics for 'baby shark' and 'wheels on the bus' as that was the 2 most common songs played in the car. Once she dropped the twins at daycare and Avery at her class, she headed to the high school and parked her car in the teachers area.

As the drama teacher she didn't have a home room so she had an extra 30 minutes each day to either be late or prepare for her classes that day. They'd just started rehearsals for the musical and this year they chose to do 'west side story' as it hadn't been done yet at the school. She was setting out the scripts as her first class was a rehearsal block for students who had auditioned, instead of having a student choreograph and help she'd called the best person she knew for the job. "Hello Mrs Bowen" the voice filled the room and she was met by one of her closet friends "Carlos! Your here" and she engulfed him in a hug, they had a spare 10 minutes to quickly catch up and she learnt that him and Seb had just started looking for a surrogate for a child, she offered to help but he said that it would be to much.

Rehearsals went great and she could already see chemistry between students for their parts which was great. Once her day was finished she went to the grocery store to pick up a few things for the house they'd run out of, she grabbed toilet paper and some pasta and as she was walking past the family aisle she decided to buy a test even though she'd knew it would be negative, they began trying a few months ago but each time the test came negative and each time it made them lose hope but they kept trying as they wanted another kid.

Ricky had picked the kids up so she didn't need to worry about that as she drove back home and parked in the driveway, making her way up to the porch "I'm home!!" She yelled throughout the house and 3 children came running towards her ready to knock her off her feet, she engulfed them in hugs before Ricky came in and gave her a kiss and they all made their way to the kitchen to have dinner, tonight was spaghetti which was the kids favourite. They loved meal time as everyone talked about their day and she loved hearing what the kids did at school, Avery was talking about a boy named Connor who she had a crush on and she was only 7! It made her chuckle as she remembered being young when she liked Ricky.

It came to nighttime and they put the kids to bed and went to bed themselves, she sat down with Ricky and they talked "I bought a test today" I told him and he looked surprised "have you taken it yet" he asked me and I shook my head "well should we"he questioned , "I don't know Ricky I'm scared that it will be bad again" I told him as he hugged me "let's just do it, this could be the lucky one". And he got me up and we went to the bathroom, once I'd done what I needed to do we sat the test down on the bed.

"Now we wait" He said to me and so we did.
