The Ocean used to be my home. I was born on the wave and grew with them. The tides have changed though, changing my life with them.I grew up with poor for lovely parents. They dreamed that I'll be able to make the best of my powers. But they couldn't afford sending me to school.But thanks to me not being too shy, I made a really good royal friend. I became best friends with the princess, and she got me the ticket into the Water Mage Academy. Things were great at first. We were training and studying together.
But as time passed, I grew stronger and better. While the princess wasn't progressing as much. The teachers decided to train me off hours and eventually get me to join the army. Eli, the Princess, didn't like it. Not one bit. "You are taking MY spot in the army!" She yelled in anger, I rolled my eyes. "Eli, calm down okay? You're making a fuss out of this and they might change their mind-" "Oh shut up Aqua. You think I don't see it? You're fucking good. The teachers loves you. You're so powerful they won't give up on you. Unless you walk away and if you're really my friend, you'll walk away." She said. Her face was all red from anger. Her green hair was resting on her shoulder and covering some of her face.
I nodded. "I'm sorry Eli. I wanted it for so long, also my parents-" "Your poor parents who couldn't afford sending you to the academy?" She asked. "What? What are you talking about?" I was surprised. "Oh they didn't say? The only reason you were able to get in the academy was because of ME. Your poor ass parents could barely pay for food unless they hunt on their own." She said. I was shocked. "I... I did not know this. But one thing for sure, they did it because they loved me!" I said in anger. Eli rushed to me and held my hands, staring into my blue eyes. "I love you too! So please, for me, don't do that. Tell them you quit." She said. I sighed. "Eli..." I started to say. Eli let go of my hands in anger and turned her back to me. "You leave me no choice Aqua." She said. I looked at her with a sad face. I did not meant for it to end like this.
"Guards. Escort Aqua's parents out of Atlantis." She yelled to the guards outside her room. "What?!" I turned to the door, watching the guards swimming towards us. "No, please!" I begged her. "You can either leave yourself, or they go." Eli said. I couldn't believe it. How could she do that to me. I looked down, then looked back at her with anger. "Goodbye, Eli." I said and swam away.Eli took awhile but then she turned around to see me swimming away. I wad leaving everything behind for the sake of my parents. I will never forgive Eli. And now I've got nothing. I'm an outcast, and I'm exiled from my home. And there is only one place I can go to. Surface.
