We're progressing pretty well so far. You guys have been amazing. What do you think of Mason and Leyla so far, is there something you'd like to say? Comment if you have anything, am I too slow or too fast. Don't forget to hit that vote button.

Enjoy!

I desperately ran after her to apologize. I didn't want my misunderstanding with miss Leyla to cost me good friendships with others.

"Hey, Anke - -  Anke, wait up, please. I am so sorry. I didn't know what I was thinking."  She shrugged my hands off of hers and proceeded with pursed lips. It dawned on me that she was upset with me. The reason as obvious.

When she finally stopped, she gave me a look of dissatisfaction before resigning.

"You're not the only who has to endure working with the boss you know? She has fired approximately ten PA's and its not been three months yet. You...you have worked here for a month and a week now, literally the longest time anyone has worked for her, not even Matt. But that doesn't mean that you get to be rude to people just because you are stressed. If that was the case, you probably wouldn't have met Esme, Matt or me." She looked eccentric. Nonetheless, I understood my mistake and apologized yet again.

"I understand that now, am sorry. I shouldn't have said that to you. Anyway, what did you want to talk to me about?" I asked her and she smiled. Her frolic nature was infectious.

"We were going clubbing, Matt asked me to come to get you since its almost time to head home. That is if you are interested." She smiled shyly and turned to face the opposite direction.

"You don't look much of a clubber to me." I pressed just to see her response. She blushed even more and was barely restraining myself from bursting into uncontrollable laughter.

"I..u- usually don't go b- but I guess today's an exception." She cocked her head to the side in the direction of the elevator as if it was her only saviour.

"Right, sure. Just give me a minute to lock my office and I'll be out in a sec." I told her as I went back to my office to grab my belongings. I knew Miss Pierce might need me but I couldn't care less in this moment. I'd had enough of her, I needed a break and clubbing sounded good enough for me.

Anke and I walked side by side downstairs where Esme and Matt were waiting for us. Matt was leaning on his car tapping his foot impatiently while Esme was by the passenger seat laughing at something on her phone. She had undone a couple of buttons on her blouse and part of her cleavage was on display. I had never seen Esme is anything less than the professional model. She was second to Leyla with her stern nature.

"Took you long enough." Matt patted my shoulder as I made my way to the backseat of his car with Anke. We took off without wasting any more time.

I focused my gaze on the front and noticed Esme watching me on the rearview mirror. When my wandering gaze fell on hers, she realized I caught her starring and immediately looked away with a blush on her face. I simply smiled in response and shook my head. The drive to the bar wasn't that long. The surroundings were quite familiar and I immediately recognized the place.

"Damon's hive," I recalled the name out loud and Matt nodded his head in agreement.

"Yeah, do you know the place?" Matt asked as he parked his car.

"The owner is an old friend of mine," I answered and they all gasped at once.

"You know Tristan?" It was Esme's turn to ask me as she met my eyes.

"Yeah," I answered with a smile. "Why?"

"He's so hot." She said then blushed. "I mean..not that you're not hot too or anything but..."

She was struggling with words. The fluent, professional woman, Esme was gone and in her place a blabbering mess. I found it hilarious but I didn't want to laugh. When I couldn't hold it any longer, I clutched my stomach and laughed into oblivion. I tried to stem the flow of my laughter to no avail.

"You think am hot? Well... You're obviously right but I wouldn't wanna brag so I guess we should head inside." I said.

We all went inside after the security check-up. Anke was in a bundle of nerves and I couldn't help but be worried about her. I wasn't entirely heartless.

I placed my hand on her shoulders and she stiffened but then relaxed a bit.
"Just relax, you're too stiff," I whispered to her ears and she visibly shivered. Probably from the cold night.

Esme and Matt went to get us drinks and I escorted Anke to an empty booth. I found a place at the corner and we took our seats and waited.

"You sure your boyfriend doesn't mind?" I asked her as I put my hand on the sofa we were sitting on, slightly grazing her shoulders.

"I don't have a boyfriend." She answered looking anywhere but me.

I frowned. She is a pretty girl so it was surprising that she was single. She had jet black hair that reached her waist. Her eyes were a bright green colour that resembled an ornate gem. She had her fair share of curves where they were supposed to be. In short, she was beautiful.

When she saw my confused face, she explained further.

"I - don't go out much. I usually keep to myself." She spoke timidly.

Not long after, Esme and Matt joined us with the drinks and we started off. We were making stories outside the office and everyone seemed to be letting loose. Even Anke made silly jokes and we all laughed.

She had relaxed a bit. She was even leaning on my shoulders. I didn't know if the alcohol was taking a toll on her or that was her own doing. Damn, I didn't even know if she had taken alcohol before.

Matt and Esme went dancing but Anke insisted on sitting at the sofa. I couldn't leave her alone so I stayed with her.

"With the way you're acting now, I'd say you are a virgin."  I joked around. A glimmer of emotion flickered in her eyes and she turned to me, placing her hand on my chest.

"I- - am. I am a virgin." She answered tracing her index finger on my chest playfully. Her cheeks were already tinted pink, a giveaway of her embarrassment.

"You know I can always help you with it whenever you want it gone." I flirted with her just to see her reaction. What I didn't expect to see was her convinced face. She looked like she was pondering on the words. I mean, I wouldn't mind having sex with her but I wasn't sure I wanted to ruin our friendship for something meaningless as sex. To me, it has always been meaningless.

The one time I truly felt meaning to it, well it turned out worse. I would always stick by not putting any meaning to it. Its better that way.

Anke was a sweet shy girl. She didn't deserve to be used by someone like me. That much I knew.
