During my brief moment of dramatic pause, Cliff had the same expression as he did when the conversation regarding my departure first started; rather emotionless and curious.
"I was loosing everyone..." I started to say as I felt the pressure to recite my proper feelings. "Angela, Franky and Adelaide were all gone! I was afraid I'd loose you guys too. But I still wanted you to know how I felt about you."
"Mel..."
"Cliff I still love you. I always have and I always will, but it just seems there was no right time. You was always off with some other girl and...and..."
"What about right now?" Cliff asked as he got closer to me. "Is right now the right time?"
"Cliff I don't wanna hurt you again.."
"You won't."
"My mom is sick Cliff! If I loose one more person here, I'm gone. Forever. Never coming back."
"Melody..."
"Cliff if you want...you could have me now...for one night.. I could use the distraction."
"Okay..." Cliff gazed into my eyes as he kissed my forehead, then resting his own with mine. "I'm still always going to be in love with you."

Before we did anything, I did something I regretted. I freaked out and yelled at him to leave. As I watched him walk out of my apartment, I slid down the wall and burried my face in my hands, the tears wouldn't stop coming.
