"Recording with the boys, I told you!" he said defensively.

"Without Luke." I said gesturing towards Luke.

He glanced at Luke and I could see realisation cross his features.

"Can you watch Evie, whilst we talk?" I asked Luke.

He nodded uncomfortably.

I quickly took Ashton's hand and pulled him upstairs with me.

"So what's going on?" I asked as soon as I shut the door.

"Nothing." he said as he started to walk towards the door.

"Are you cheating on me?" I asked quietly.

He turned towards me and frowned.

"Why would you even think that?" he whispered.

"Just answer the question." I said quietly.

My heart pounded against my chest as I waited for him to answer. I was terrified of what he might say.

"I would never cheat on you I swear." he stated.

"Well, something is going on, so what is it?" I asked him impatiently.

He sighed and ran his hand through his hair.

"Ashton, don't do this, tell me." I said nervously.

I needed to know what was going on, the suspense was killing me.

"I can't tell you." he muttered.

"Ashton, we are a family." I said as I walked over and stood in front of him.

"I want to protect you." he stated.

"But you are scaring me. Please tell me." I begged as my hands began to shake.

"I lied to you." he said hesitantly.

"About what?" I asked nervously.

He didn't respond, he just stared at the floor.

"Ashton." I snapped.

"About the doctors, everything isn't fine." he whispered.

I stared at him in a state of shock.

"I have a brain tumour." he added.

"What?" I whispered.

"I was at the hospital today having some treatment." he said quietly.

I stared at him completely speechless as tears began to roll down my cheeks.

"I didn't want to worry you." he added.

"It'll be okay though won't it, they can treat it?" I asked beginning to panic.

"I have a few months of treatment, and then we have to wait and see." he stated.

I hugged him tightly, afraid to let go.

"We'll get through this together." he whispered as he kissed the top of my head.
