A Broken Soul

Chapter Two

I slowly walked to Korrine's. I knew that she would be so excited to see Ashton and Luke. It made me realise how lucky I was to have them in my life.

As we neared the flat, Ashton and Luke remained in the lobby whist I slowly climbed the stairs up to the flat.

I knocked on the door and beamed at Korrine as she opened the door.

"Hey Laura." she said, pulling me into a hug.

"Hi Korrine, how are you?" I asked.

"I'm good, how are you and the baby?" she answered.

"Good thanks." I smiled at her.

"I'll just go and fetch your box." she told me as she left the room.

I smiled at her and looked around the flat. I was so relieved that Ashton and I were back together, but I felt slightly emotional about leaving the flat. Korrine had been a good friend to me, when I had no one else. We had spent some good times together, and had such a laugh. I would really miss her.

As she walked back into the room, carrying a box, I could see tears in her eyes.

She placed the box on the side and gently hugged me.

"I'm really going to miss you." she whispered.

"I'll miss you too, but we'll keep in touch." I told her.

"I know." she said as she pulled away from me and wiped her eyes.

"I have a surprise for you." I smiled at her.

"Oohh, what is it?" she asked excitedly.

"This way." I grinned at her, and walked away. She followed me closely, nagging me all the way down the stairs.

I entered the lobby and saw Ashton and Luke standing, watching me. I quickly walked over to Ashton and took his hand.

I looked up at the staircase, waiting for Korrine to appear around the corner. Ashton gently squeezed my hand.

As Korrine saw them, she stopped and stared at them. Her mouth dropped as she stared, she almost seemed rooted to the spot.

All of a sudden she dropped the box and screamed causing the boys and me to jump.

She ran over and threw her arms around Luke, who looked slightly uncomfortable.

"OH MY GOD WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING HERE!" she screamed.

"Laura told us you're a fan." Ashton chuckled.

"YOU KNOW LAURA!" she cried.

"Yeah, I'm dating Ashton." I told her proudly.

"WHAT?!" she exclaimed.

I laughed as she stared at me blankly.

"Oh wow, I love you guys so much." she said hugging Luke again.

"Can I hug you?" she asked Ashton shyly.

I let go of Ashton's hand so that he could hug her.

"I can't believe you didn't tell me that he was the one you left." she said.

"Sorry." I giggled.

"I need to go and lay down." she sighed.

I laughed.

"I'll see you soon." I called after her as she walked up the stairs.

"Let's go home." Ashton smiled at me.

Eventually after dropping Luke off we made it home. I sighed in contentment as I sat on the stairs. Ashton quickly sat beside me and began playing with my fingers. I rested my head on his shoulder.

"We finally get to be alone for a while." he smiled at me.

I leant towards him, about to kiss him. Before my lips could touch his, I heard his Mum call him from the kitchen.

I sighed and pulled away.

"I'd better go and see what she wants." he said quietly.

I nodded.

"Do you want to wait upstairs?" he asked me.

"Yeah I guess." I whispered.

"Sorry babe." he said.

"Don't be long." I said, as I undid two buttons at the top of my shirt.

"I won't be." he said, his eyes fixed on my cleavage.

I smiled at him, as I made my way upstairs.

Ashton's POV

"What do you want Mum?" I asked her, as I wandered through to the kitchen.

"Is that Laura's voice I heard?" she questioned.

"Yeah so?" I said defensively.

"So you guys are back together?" she pressed me.

"Yes." I sighed.

"Michael said she's pregnant." she fished.

I groaned.

"Is the baby definitely yours?" she asked.

"Aww c'mon Mum, you've always had it in for her!" I cried.

"I don't think she's good for you." she answered.

"Can't you just be happy for me?" I asked.

"Ashton let me ask you something?" she asked.

"What?" I said impatiently.

"Don't you think it's a bit weird that the band is doing well, and now she's pregnant." she announced.

"What exactly are you saying?" I asked.

"I'm saying that she's trapped you." she said rolling her eyes.

I stared at her in complete shock.

"No, you don't know what you're talking about, it's not like that." I whispered.

"That's exactly what it's like." she replied.

"Okay, we're done." I said walking away. I heard her calling me, but I ignored her and carried on walking.

As I walked along the hall I saw Laura sitting on the stairs, and judging by the look on her face she had heard the entire conversation.

AN: Sorry it took so long to update guys, had a crazy week! I've decided to write a one-shot, and a short story fan fiction about A1. I met them recently and they were so nice that I wanted to write about them. So hopefully you guys will check it out :)
