Chapter Fifteen

Eventually Ashton and I let go of each other. He gently took my hand and led me inside.

I curled up next to him on the sofa and he gently pulled me onto his lap.

"I was so worried about you, I had the police looking for you." he said.

"I missed you so much." I whispered as I rested my head against his collarbone.

"What did he do to you?" he whispered softly. I could tell that he was afraid of my answer.

"Nothing." I said quietly.

"Laura." he sighed.

"I'm telling you the truth, he just kept asking questions about the baby." I insisted.

He looked at me sharply and I instantly felt him tense up.

"He's not getting anywhere near you or the baby ever again!" he hissed.

I smiled at him and gently kissed his neck.

I glanced out the window as the postman walked up the drive.

"I'll go." Ashton whispered gently kissing my forehead before standing up.

As Ashton returned from the mailbox he was frowning at something.

"What's that?" I asked him.

"I don't know, it came in the mail." he said still frowning as he held up a dvd.

"Oh it's probably from the management,the new song we recorded." he added.

"Well put it on then." I smiled at him.

I pecked his lips and made my way into the kitchen.

I quickly made us both a hot chocolate and carried them into the lounge.

"Did you get the DVD working?" I called as I walked through.

I froze as I saw him sitting on the sofa, staring at the TV almost in a trance. His face was frozen with a mixture of horror and anguish, present on his handsome features. His jaw was open slightly and he seemed like he was about to say something but was speechless. I glanced at the TV to see what had upset him.

I gasped and dropped the mug. It instantly smashed, spraying hot liquid on my leg, but I didn't even notice. I was too transfixed with what I saw on the screen.

As I stared at it in a state of numb shock, I watched as the events from Luke and I's night together unfolded before my eyes.
