Chapter 42

"Let's go have fun." I was suddenly dragged in the middle of the trees, with taehyung's hand grasping mine tightly.

He stopped not quite far from where he started dragging me and removed his hands from mine to lean in the nearest tree, face first with his arms around his head. "I'll count to ten, then you'll hide."

I just stood there, dumbfounded. Is he trying to play hide and seek with me?

"What?" I asked, frozen in my place and looking at him questionably.

"We use to do this before right?" He tried to peak from his position.

His words sends me in a bit shock but with a mixture of happiness. I'm not sure why though, cause I don't really remember doing it with him.

Maybe because he's happy.

"Fine." I motioned him to hide his face again. "Don't cheat!"

I shouted one last time before sprinting away from the young guy. Turning to look at him to check if he's cheating. Thankfully, he's being truthful today.

Where should I hide?

"Ten!" I heard him shout from a far. "Nine!"

I look around for anything or anywhere to hide aside from the trees. I spotted a playground tunnel not so far from where I stood.

Behind it is different stuctures of playground like swing, seesaw, slide and others.

I ran into the tunnel and crawl inside like a child. I honestly miss this.

It's dark with the lights from the road lamp only reaches the side of the tunnel. I'm not able to see anything from my seat.

But somehow, I felt safe and calm. Like no one will ever be able to hurt me when I'm here. A comforting feeling as I stay inside while hugging my knees in my chest.

Wait, what if there's insects in here?

I shuddered at my thoughts and think whether I should crawl out or not. I wouldn't like to be in the same place with a cockroach or else I would pass out.

"Y/n-ah?"

I flinched a bit and hit my head with the concrete tunnel when I heard my name being called.

"Ow." I hissed silently while rubbing my head.

Taehyung peaked inside, I can see his figure shape but not his face. Making me wonder if he actually saw me in the dark.

Answering my question, he crawled inside and sit in my left. His back bended and knees folded, just like I am.

"You didn't even bother hiding." He said with a sulky tone.

"I did," I pouted. "That's why I'm here."

"So boring." He insulted. "Yah! Do you think I'm bad at this and won't see you at your very obvious hiding spot?!"

I smiled sheepishly and shrugged, teasing him. But then, I remembered that we're on a dark place. I'm sure he didn't even see me shrugged.

Tell me, why am I half stupid and half dumb again?

I turn to his dim figure when I felt his hands reaching and roaming in the side of the tunnel. He seems to be searching for something when his hands stopped in a specific place. "It's still here."

I raised my eyebrows after he shouted enthusiastically. He's giggling like a child while I'm wondering what he's talking about, completely lost but not found.
