I held my breath as I pass through a dark, gross smelling ally on my way home from school. I brush my dyed green bangs from my face, as I find my self in my neighborhood. I look up, pulling my earbuds from my ears as I approach my front door. I jiggled my house key through the lock and opened the door.
¨ Mom?!¨ I call, setting my backpack down on the floor. My Green eyes gaze around the room, searching for my mom. Nothing.
I then found myself in the kitchen to see my older sister on her phone, sitting on a stool up against the bar. Her long blond hair was pulled up in a high ponytail, her face full of makeup. She was wearing a long-sleeved pink shirt with grey shorts. She sucked in her lips, pulling them into a kissing face. She raised her phone, taking a selfie.
I rolled my eyes, ¨ Elsa, where is mom ?¨ I ask.
¨ Trafic, she will be home soon,¨ she answered while taking another selfie, ¨ now move, your in my shot,¨
I rolled my eyes and started to climbed the stairs to my room. It was painted a grey color, with a twin sized bed in the corner by the window. I jumped on my bed and got my phone from my pocket and started to text my mom : Hey, report cards got in today, when will you be home?
I waited a minute before I felt my phone buzz. I opened the text from my mom that said: Just pulled up.
I sat my phone down on my bedside table and started to walk down stairs. My mom came through the front door, setting down her bag next to my backpack, ¨ Hey Hunny,¨ she smiled, ¨ cant wait to see your grades,¨
I nodded and pulled out a white slip of paper from my pocket, ¨ here,¨ I handed it to her. She unfolded the paper and scanned it with her green eye, pushing her auburn hair out of the way.
¨ Wow Hayden, strait As!¨ she smiled a me, ¨ you deserve a treat,¨ she hugged me. I slightly smiled and hugged her back. She broke the hug and looked at me again, ¨ get in the car, I have a treat,¨
My smile grew a little more as I started to walk out the door, hearing the words, ¨ Elsa! We will be back in thirty minutes, no one comes over!¨ My mom yelled.
I smirked a little, knowing she was already texting her boyfriend to come over to watch a short movie.
I climbed into the shotgun seat in the car, looking out the window as we drove into town, My mom smiled at me, ¨ I know just what every thirteen year old wants these days,¨ She hummed, " Star bucks!"
I smiled, " you know me mom," I've always been a big Starbucks fan, ever since I was little.
We pulled up in the parking lot, and got out of the car. My mom told me to wait in the sitting area while she waited in the line. I wasn't looking where I was going, and found myself bumping into a girl.
She had pretty blond hair and beautiful blue eyes. I tried to apologize, but she just smiled at me, " its fine," Her smile faded and tilted her head at me, " do I know you? you seem familiar,"
" the only way you would know me, is if you go to my school," I replied.
" Im Alana Lynch," she smiled, holding out her hand for a hand shake.
" Hayden Hayze,"I reply, not shaking her hand.
Her smiled stayed, " well, Hayden I belive you are in my advance science class,"
" your that girl in the front who always raises her hand," I pointed out.
" And you are that kid in the back who gets the highest grades, and doesn't pay attention at all," she winked.
I shrugged, " I draw in class, helps me learn actually,"
She smiled at me again, " well, I have to go, I will see you at school," She said, picking up her caramel frapp. She started to walk to the door. She smiled at me again before exiting the Starbucks.
I slightly smiled. I sat down in a green sofa chair. A few minutes later my mom handed me a vinnila bean frapp. I took it and removed the half of the straw they left on. I started to sip on the drink when I saw my mom had no other drink.
" Why didn't you get any for you or Elsa ?" I asked, a little confused.
" I had some coffee earlier, and Els only got Ds, and a couple Cs," she smiled, " maybe when she gets a B she can get some coffee," She winked at me.
I chuckled a little before we stood up and started to head to the car. I got in shotgun again and started to sip on my frapp some more. I watched out the window and saw Alana our way home. She was walking with a girl with dark raven black hair, pulled to the side in a long braid and had green eyes. The other girl had blond hair and greyish blue eyes.
They were laughing and joking around, holding Starbucks cups. Alana spotted me in the car, due to us being at a red light. She smiled at me. I held up my hand, a did a little wave. As the light turned green we drove off. I watched as Alana disappeared from my veiw.
We pulled up at our drive way and got inside. Elsa passed by us. She spotted my frapp and gasped, " Why did he get Starbucks ?!"
" unlike you, I got stait As," I gave her a slight evil smile.
She rolled her dark brown eyes, " What ever," she flipped her blond hair and walked off.
I then found myself, waking up the stairs, going to my room. I found my last year, year book. I picked it up and scanned the sixth grade. I looked trough the Ls to find a picture of a girl with blond hair, pulled up in a ponytail, and had a red sort on. She also had blue crystal eyes.
Alana.
I smiled at the picture. why did I smile? Wait... do i-
no way do I like her...
