" and if you add 4/24, you get ?" I ask alana. we have been working together for a couple of weeks now, the dance was this Saturday , and she has been working so hard to be able to go.
" uhh.." she tapped the end of her pencil to her mouth, " 13/24?" she asked.
i nodded, " correct, you only got three questions wrong this whole week," I smiled at her, " you should at least get a b on the test,"
she excitedly squealed, " yay! thank you so much hayden, I cannot wait for the dance!" she bounced around a little.
i smiled at her, " no problem,"
she stopped bouncing and brushed part of her hair behind her ear, she smiled at me, " so, you going to the dance ?" she asked.
i shrugged, " dunno, if so id probably go with sam," I said while grabbing the math book that laid apond the bench.
she nodded, " Simon, tyler, and finn all asked me to go with them, but I cant go with tyler, he is rachels twim and that would be awkward, " he hissed between her teeth, " I only see finn as a friend and simon is a little too self centered," she sighed, " I'm kinda hoping some one else will ask me so I don't have to pick between my friends,"
I nodded, " I might ask sam, but I'm not sure.." I placed the books in my bag.
" arent you guys dating though?" alana asked.
my face went a bright pink, "n-no we are just friends,"
she nodded, "ok, well you and sam can hang out with me, heather, rachel tyler-"
" simon and finn," we both say at the same time. i smiled, " I guess we could,"
" great! its a date! see you tomorrow !" she jumped up and pecked my cheek. she smiled and ran off int he other direction to where a red vintage bike was. she started to peddal away.
i was blushing. no girl, besides my mom, has kissed my cheek before. i rubbed it and smiled. my pocket vibrated and i pulled out my phone. my mom had texted me that she had pulled up on the other side of the school. i texted back ok and grabbed my backpack and made my way to her. i got in the front seat of the car and smiled at my mom.
she smiled back, " so hayden," she started grin, " are you exited?" she asked.
" for what?"
" the dance?" she smiled bigger as see started to drive off, "are you asking sam or alana?" she asked.
i shrugged, " sam,"
she nodded, " ok, well it is in two days so you better as soon,"
I nodded, " I will ask her at lunch tomorrow,"
{~*~}
it was the next day and I was sitting next to sam at the lunch table. she gave me part of her cheese and ham snadwitch. she smile at me, " guess what I did yesterday?" she asked.
" what?"
" I got a henna tattoo," she pulled up her sleeve a little to see a little moon on her wrist. she smiled at me, " you should get one,"
I shrugged, " I don't know, anyways, I have something to ask you,"
she raised an eyebrow, " go on,"
" so tomorrow is the dance and i was wondering if-,"
" yes," she answered pulling out a pair of sissors and started to cut some paper.
