i look around my room one last time. i had just packed the last of my things. today was moving day.

the other day my mom and I went to check out the apartment. it had two bedrooms, one bath room, and a very small kitchen. it should be ok. right? it wasn't one of those sketchy places with the wall paper or paint, being torn off and it didn't have that grandma smell. it was actually pretty nice.

i leaned down and grabbed my backpack. i took a deep breath. this would be my last time seeing this house, the house I grew up in. i slowly walked out from my room, pausing at my door. i looked at the wall next to the door. there were little markings on it from when my mom would measure me. i placed my hand on it. i sighed and finally walked out.

my moms friend was a mover, so he offered to move our stuff of free on his own. i walked down the stairs to see my mom holding a box filled with our food. she noticed me and smiled, " you ready hayden? oliver is on his way to the apartment."

i nodded. we quickly walked through the door, sitting our hose keys under the mat for the new house owners. we got in the car, witch was filled with boxes and bags. i looked out the window as we drove off. i looked to the sky to see the light grey clouds above us. they groweld, but refused to cry. i waited a little, and water droplets started to pour from the sky.

it wasn't a lot, just a light drizzle. a couple songs played from the raido, mainly panic! at the disco. // what? hey look ma was playing!// i sang along in my head. my mom looked at me, "you ok hay?" she asked, reaching her hand over to me, lightly shaking me.

i nodded, " yup, just fine," we made our way to my school. it was Monday. the day no one liked at all, except for everyone thinking it was Friday, but then crying when they remembered it was Monday. i grabbed my backpack and got out as sppn as my mom stopped the car.

she smiled at me, " have a good day, i will pick you up later," i nodded and closed the door. i watched drive off. the rain splashed on me, looking like a little water exsplion once it hit something. i walked in the school making my way to the office. yes, i was late.

i walked in to see a lady at the desk. she smiled at me, " hello dear, whats your name?"

" Hayden Haze,"

she nodded, " ok Mr. Haze, why are you late ?" she looked my way.

" my mom and i are moving and we had to finish packing," i shrugged.

she nodded, " ok dear," she turned to the computer, typing up my note. she hit print and a printer printed out my note. she handed it to me, " you should be in reading right now,"

i nodded,  " thank you," i walked to the seventh grade hallway and found my locker. i quickly turned the lock to my combo and shoved in my backpack, grabbing my sketch book, pincle, binder, and book.

i made my way to my class room. i opened the door to see all eyes turn my way. i was told to take my seat, witch i did. today was the most unluckeyist day ever. the only open seat was next to alana. i let out a silent graon and sat next to her.

she looked at me quickly, before she pulled out a sheet of paper and started to wright. a minute later she passed the paper to me. i rolled my eyes and looked at it. written in her nice hand wrighting was : hey, what happened Friday.

i took out my pen and wrote back : fever.

she read it and quickly looked at me. but before she could wright back, the bell rang. thank god

i was sitting in art. i sat in the back, like i do with all my classes. the project was to make a drawing or painting over what you were feeling. i was looking at my paper. it was blank.

my teacher, Mrs.Avery was passing by, looking at our art. " Nice work Marissa," she smiled to  girl near me. i caught  a glimpse of her art, it was a sunny day on a valley.

marissa smiled, " thank you, my dad just got me a new laptop, and my sister passed her drivers test! i feel like the world is happy!"

i rolled my eyes. the world was not happy. mrs. avery made her way to me. she looked at my empty paper, " emptyness ?" she asked.

i shrugged, " its been a hard week,"

she nodded, " want to talk about  it later?" she asked.

i shrugged again, " i dunno, it just seems like i should keep it to myself for now,"

she placed her hand on my shoulder, " well, if you wanna talk, im here,"

i smiled at her, " thank you,"

the bell rang. school was out. FREEDOM!! i grabbed my stuff and made my way to my locker. i put in the combo and grabbed my backpack. i shut my locker and made my way to the car line and waited there for my mom.

there were so many kids there. i then felt someone tap my shoulder. i turned to see alana smiling at me, " hey hayden, me, heather, rachel, tyler, finn, and simon were going to go get starbuck at 4:30 today, wanna come?" she asked.

i shook my head, " no thanks, im busy," i turned and looked at the cars again. she then stood next to me, " ok, but if you change your mind, here is my number," she said handing me a folded paper.

i nodded and took it, " thanks,"

she smiled, "ok, see you later," see dashed t to a huge king ranch truck and got in the front seat.

i waited some more until i saw my mom. i opened the front door and got in. she smiled at me, "hey, hayden, how was school?"

i shrugged, " it was ok,"

she smiled, " good! by the way, oliver made your room, i hope you like it, " she smiled.

i smiled back, " thanks mom,"
