Chapter 53

Sara sits at her table after seeing Erina off to her meeting. She promised to drop by again tomorrow evening to tell her everything since she was in a rush just now. Not going to lie she is still very much in shock seeing her cousin here, appearing out of nowhere and told her she has been here for more than a month. She couldn't believe Erina did not even give her a call or text her.

"What just happened...", she sighs as she inserts the pendrive into the slot and waits. "She better has a good explanation for this"

A pop-up appears on her screen, eyes blinking in confusion at the name of the pendrive.

Sara

Jungkook literally named this pendrive after her name, out of other names, her name. Gulping slowly, feeling nervous and curious at the same time, she clicks on the pendrive icon and it leads her to another pop-up window. There is only one video file in the folder and reading the name of the file made her stopped breathing for a moment.

"For Sara"

Sara hovers the cursor on the file's name, battling her eyelashes as she stares at her screen blankly. So many questions in her head and so many feelings balled into one as she recalls her days in Osaka.

Osaka has been her favourite place to spend her summer for years already. But last summer has been different for her. She met Jungkook. And for the first time, she felt carefree after years of being trapped within the walls she built for herself. The time she spent with Jungkook in Osaka may seem short, but honestly, it was the happiest she has ever felt for such a long time.

She remembers fighting the urge to break the deal of not exchanging any personal details with him. Never once in her entire life she wanted to know so much about a person, not until Jungkook. She forced herself into thinking it was just her conscious of being far from home, and she was just being silly.

She remembers coming home after spending the whole day with him and feeling her heart beating so hard, confusing her. Her heart felt full, as if there is a whole garden of flowers flourishing every time she met him. And she brushed it off, thinking it was just her being senseless again. She did that after every meeting, to the point she got tired of it.

She remembers the night—their last night—together, relaxing by the beach bar, embracing the chilly night air of the summer watching the beautiful orange sun sets into the ocean. Her heart felt calm, and she wondered if she can ever feel that calm again. Being around Jungkook in Osaka was such an experience for her. She didn't realize how she missed being carefree and genuinely happy till Jungkook asked for her favour to show him around town that one fine day.

"Oh god", she shakes her head, pushing all thoughts away she gathers her guts to click on the video.

The video started with a black screen, and slowly the words "For Sara" appears in white font before it transitions to a familiar sight of the beach bar she was working at. Then it cuts to a view of Jungkook and her talking at the table of the beach bar, the camera placed at the right spot that gives the view of the beach behind them.

Sara wonders how Jungkook manage to get just the perfect angle for this clip, smiling as she recalls him bringing his video camera everywhere.

Then the video transitions to the day they went to the Tea House. Sara gasps lowly when the video focuses on of her seated on the mat listening to the explanation, then it transitions to her following the demonstration the teacher was doing in the video. Seconds after that, bright colourful lanterns appear on the screen in slow motion, matching the beat of the song playing in the video.
