"[name]? [name] darling! Are you home?" and [name] shifted a little in her sleep. A deep frown appearing on her face as she tosses and turned about in the king-size bed that she slept with Inosuke. Knowing that Inosuke had left the house early in the morning, she could only let out a sigh then as she slowly drifted back to a peaceful slumber.
Only to hear the front door opening. She could hear footsteps, but she felt too mentally and emotionally tired to be waking up and see who had entered her home. She heard a soft gasp and felt the bed sinking down next to where she was laying down with her eyes closed. Her cheeks felt the gentle touch of someone caressing it, and she decided to open her electric blue eyes to take a look at who it was.
She squinted her eyes a little, adjusting to the brightness of the room only to have her eyes wide opened as she realized who had arrived. She sat up quickly, only to hear a soft giggle as she looked at the woman before her.
"Mother," [name] called out and Kotoha smiled as she gently patted [name] on the side of her face. The usual kind and gentle look she always had was seen plastered on Kotoha's face as she caressed [name]'s cheek with her thumb.
"How have you been? It's been a long time since I last saw you. Months," Kotoha spoke out as she looked at the terrible state [name] was in. How she had lost so much weight and the eyebags beneath her eyes as well.
Kotoha had heard about everything from Inosuke. And she had a hard time calming down her son who wanted to do nothing but fight the key demon who had caused [name] to act in such a way.
"I'm doing fine, Mother. I see that you are back," [name] spoke out and Kotoha giggled a little and nodded her head in response. She then grabbed hold of [name]'s delicate hand in hers and gently caressed it.
"I'm back for a little while, and then I'll be heading back home once more," Kotoha spoke out and [name] nodded her head. Kotoha then let out a soft sigh as her hands found its way to [name]'s face once again, cupping her cheeks in them as she caressed them with her thumb.
"Inosuke has been informing me about how you are doing. Sweetie, you don't need to put up a strong front in front of me," Kotoha spoke out and [name] could only laugh softly as she shook her head a little.
"I'm fine, Mother. Don't worry. Inosuke is such a worrywart!" [name] called out and soon got up from the bed. Kotoha watched with her pair of green eyes as [name] entered the bathroom. Shaking her head a little as she rummaged through the baggage she had brought along and she hummed a soft lullaby to herself.
"Ah! She must be missing my cooking too!" Kotoha spoke to herself and she quickly got up and walked out of the master bedroom. Entering the kitchen as she rummaged through the fridge for some ingredients that she could cook with.
[name] let out a soft sigh then as she locked the bathroom door. Her back leaning against the door as she slid down and hugged her knees to herself. Shaking her head a little as she stared into space, hearing her child's voice once again.
Somehow she wished she could say that she was immune to it. But deep down, she knew she wasn't and was gravely affected by the sound of her child asking her such questions.
Her pink-tinted lips parted as her vision flickered often, showing bloody scenes before her and then back to the original scenes she was facing in reality. Slowly pushing herself up, she stood up and started to remove her clothes.
Standing in front of the full wall mirror where the sink was located at, she looked at the scar that was left on her abdomen where her womb was.
Where her child was supposed to be at.
Her fingers reaching up as she traced the scar a little, looking into the reflection. How her long platinum violet hair was messy. When was the last time she had cut her hair? She couldn't remember. But she could tell how the random split ends were being seen as she brought up a lock of her platinum violet hair to take a look.
