Inosuke shifted a little in his sleep. He tightened his hold on his wife's body and slowly opened his green eyes. Squinting slightly due to how the curtains to the balcony weren't covering the doors and the moonlight was shining through the gap. He then blinked his eyes a few times and soon it adjusted to the slight brightness present in the room.
Looking down, he noticed [name] was sleeping soundly against his chest once more. Her long platinum violet hair slightly messy and he gently caressed her exposed shoulder. Pulling the covers over her a little more as her shoulders were cold.
His fingers tracing the bite marks he had left along her shoulders. He traced them in circles and soon stopped as he felt her shifting instead. Afraid that he might have woken her up by accident.
He slowly got up from the bed and quickly showered. It was already evening by the time he woke up and he knew he needed to leave soon. He quickly came out of the bathroom and changed.
Hashibira Inosuke felt guilty.
He felt guilty as he looked at the peaceful sleeping look on his wife's face. He swallowed the lump in his throat as he knew what he did was utterly wrong. Heeding the advice of Zenitsu was never good in the first place, but knowing that it will help keep her asleep until he returns home he decided to go ahead with the idea despite Tanjiro's objections.
He slipped sleeping pills into her food when he gave it to her earlier on. Crushing the pills into powder as he mixed them into a small bowl of food, knowing that [name] wouldn't finish an entire plate.
"I'm so sorry," he whispered out as he sat on the edge of the bed and gently patted her on the head. His lips pressed into a fine thin line as he caressed her cheek and her exposed shoulder. He let out a sigh as he stood up, bending down as he planted a kiss on her cheek. He slowly walked towards the balcony and stepped out, shutting the door behind him as he looked down.
The view of the Sun Hashira, Kamado Tanjiro along with the Thunder Hashira, Agatsuma Zenitsu, was seen waiting on the ground level for him. They tilt their heads up to look at their friend who soon descended from the balcony.
Not even bothering with the fact he had jumped from such a height.
The trio then took off running towards the direction where they were supposed to meet up with the other Hashiras as well. Their blood turning cold as they got closer to where their destination was.
Only to hear running footsteps and she turned to look at the horrified look on her husband's face.
"No..."
And Inosuke could only stare in horror as [name] tried her best to not cry in front of him. His lips pressed into a fine thin line as the key demon escaped, leaving just [name] with her team. Bleeding profusely as their child no longer existed. His lips parted as [name] continued to cry.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Don't be angry at me, please! I didn't mean to lose the child! I didn't! I tried! I tried!" she cried out and Inosuke's eyes narrowed as he looked towards [name]'s team and he gritted his teeth in response.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry! Please don't be angry at me. Please forgive me!" she cried out into his chest and Inosuke pressed his lips into a fine thin line as he wrapped his muscular arms around her waist and hugged her tightly.
"It's okay. Don't cry. I'm not angry. I'm not angry at you, never," he whispered out as he patted her on the back of her head, holding her tightly in his arms.
"Everything will be okay. Nobody is blaming you. Nobody is angry at you," he added on as [name] started to soften her cries instead and her team could only look at one another.
