My consciousness raced in and out. My chains were broken, there were screams and I was laid in someone's arms. When things were quiet and I was still, I came to. I heard two male voices.

"What do you mean you promised to turn her?" Spike asked.

"I only said it in hopes to keep her calm. I'm not going to do it," Angel said.

"A...Angel?" I squeaked.

"Take it easy Cas," he said stroking a hand through my hair. My eyes locked onto the tubes in my hand, I tried to rip them out.

"Don't do that!" Spike yelled, he raced over and restrained me. "They're healing you."

"I...I need to get out of here," I said fighting against him.

"And go where?" Spike asked squeezing me harder.

"Home," I said. Angel rushed to my side and took my hands in his.

"Cas you are home," he said.

"I think she may still be delirious from the blood loss," Spike said and laid me down on the bed.

"T...The demon we must kill it!" I exclaimed.

"It's dead, love. I killed it," he replied.

"Cas, rest," Angel said.

"Listen to the old man pet, you're the best asset we have," he said. Both Angel and Spike left me to rest, I stared up at the ceiling its swirling pattern mesmerized me I found myself falling asleep again.

I woke up, but not in my bed. I was next to Angel,  he was cuddled upto me, a strong arm around my tiny torso. "Angel?" I gently shook his shoulder. He groaned as he stirred. He yawned, and sat up,  the sunlight shone on his face from the open curtains but he didn't recoil or jump out of bed.

"What? Are you okay?" He pulled me closer, he kissed me softly his lips were warm.

"Y... You're alive!" I exclaimed. He looked ati me with concern. "Did you bump your head on the headboard of the bed last night?"

"No," I said sitting on the edge of the bed. "I... I er better get to work." I headed into the direction of the bathroom.

"Work? You don't have a job Cas, remember they fired you at the diner?" He said.

"What?" I turned to look at him.

"Are you sure you're okay?" He walked around the bed jand took my hands in his.

"I... I...." I couldn't answer as I felt light headed and dropped to the floor.

"Cas, Cas!" He yelled kneeling next to me, my eyes closed and I woke up back in my bed but the tubes had been removed. I sat up still feeling a little woozy and headed to Angels room,  I stumbled across the cold floor feeling my way with the walls,  supporting myself. I cracked his door open,  he was asleep.

I took a bottle of holy water off the side, padded in and placed a drop on his hand. "Sorry Angel but I have got to know."
