That evening I laid in Angel's bed, he was cuddled up next to me. He rested his head on his hand while his fingers brushed through my hair. "Cas, you had me worried."

"If you turned me we wouldn't have this problem," I told him.

"I agreed that one time just to comfort you," he replied.

"Yeah, thanks, it was a great comfort," I said.

"We've spoken about this," he wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me into him. "Do you really want to drink blood for eternity, Cas? Watch those around grow old and die?"

"Yes," I replied.

"It's quite depressing," he said.

"But you'll be there," I replied.

"But what if I'm not? What if you also don't like the new version of you?" he asked.

"I am sure I would," I said.

"Well I guess you'll find out one day," he said and traced the veins on my collar bones.

"You know you can feed off me, I mean if you ever need to," I said.

"Cas, I haven't had human blood for years. I can't remember what it tastes like. I couldn't do that to you," he said.

"But it's there," I said pricking my finger and lifted it to his lips. He reluctantly licked the blood at first, but his beast kicked in and he sucked the blood from my finger. He gripped my hand tightly I looked up at him smiling. He pulled my hand out of his mouth and was about to bite into the rushing blood in my neck but he stopped himself.

"I can't," he turned over with his back to her.

"Please, let me be useful," I pined.

"Cas," he now turned over to face me and rested a hand on my cheek, "you're always useful. You have saved me in several fights."

"That's not enough. I want to be stronger," I said.

"You have slayer strength Cas you are strong enough," he said.

"I know,"  I said.

"But you do need your rest," he said.

"It's only midnight," I whined.

"Yes, but we have an early interrogation tomorrow," he said.

"Interrogation?" I asked.

"Black market dealers," he said.

"What have they done now?" I asked.

"Selling something very powerful, something all vampires desire," he said.

"Is this the all-powerful ring?" I inquired.

"Yes, it was supposed to be transported to us however, it was intercepted," he replied.

"I'll scout for you in the morning, I think the bike is fuelled," I said.

"No, take the car it will be far safer for you," Angel said.

"Nah motorcycle is quicker," I said and pulled the duvet over my shoulders a bit more.

"You're willing to risk it after our conversation tonight?" he inquired.

"Mm," I mumbled and turned over with my back facing him.

"Don't be like that," he said and kissed along my shoulders and nipped my skin.

"Oi!" I exclaimed and pushed him away. "I'm still mad at you."

"Fine," he said and rolled over with his back to me.
