It seemed unusually quiet tonight, I walked ahead of Angel my axe thrown over my shoulders, my fingers twitched on the wooden handle. I could feel Angels' eyes on my back but I did my best to ignore him. We walked our usual route just when I thought my axe was going to stay clean a demon jumped out at me, it grabbed me by my throat and lifted me off the ground. "Angel!" I yelled. Before he could get to me one of the demons knocked him out. "No!"

The demon squeezed my throat till I could no longer breathe and I passed out. When I came around I was chained down and Angel was also chained down opposite me, but he was still out. The demon paced in-between us. "What do you want?"

"We need your blood, the blood of a vampire and a slayer two powerful beings coming together we can resurrect our lord," it said attaching tubes into my wrists. I hissed which woke Angel up.

"W...where are we?" he wheezed.

"An abandoned warehouse," I replied as they also attached tubes into his wrists. We heard the low hum as they started up the machines and pulled the crimson liquid from our veins. I whimpered, Angels' eyes locked onto mine. "Never thought I'd die this way."

"Don't say that, I'm sure someone will come to rescue us if I don't get us out of  here," he said and tried to pull on the restraints and tubes.

"Who knows we're on patrol except for Spike?" I quizzed him.

"No one," he replied. I rolled my eyes and huffed.

"Well that's just great," I replied throwing my head back against the wall.

"What about your tracker have you disabled it again?" he asked.

"You really think I would disable it again after the fuss you put me through to get it to work again?" I reminded him.

"I guess that was a stupid question," he replied and looked around.

"Angel, this place is heavily guarded by the time we figure out a way to escape  we'll both be too weak," I said. "Well I will be, I'm only human."

"Don't say that," he replied.

"It's true, you always insisted I wasn't ready," I said.

"Because you're not," he said.

"Don't mourn for me then,"  I said.

"Cassie, this is not the time to discuss this if we escape I will turn you," he said.

"You will?" I asked.

"Yes," he replied. The demon walked over to us and knelt in front of me.

"Don't waste any more of your energy we need your blood to be pure," it said and tied a gag around my mouth.

"Leave her alone!" he exclaimed.

"Shut up!" it growled and struck him. A few hours later and the blood loss got to me my head dropped and I couldn't support myself.

"Cassie! Cassie, stay with me!" he exclaimed. "We are going to make it out of this together." My eyes rolled toward him.

"D...Don't be so...sure," I wheezed.

"Cassie, keep your eyes on me," he said. "Don't close them."
