I wish I could face myself
Face a perfect me with a smile
But for that, I'd have to say HELLO
In a whole new world, in a whole new life.

Its like a drug,
I can feel it seeping through.
A drug filled with hate
Anger, pain and a lot of guilt too.

It must have been easy for you
With your perfect smile
And those pearly black eyes
That radiated beauty divine.

But as for me
I'm just trying to be perfect,
I'm trying to hide the tears
By burying them deep inside.

Cause when I look at myself
I see failure, resign;
Scars of a purposeless life,
Wounds etched deep in ice.

I wish I could face myself
Face a perfect me with a smile
But for that, I'd have to say HELLO
In a whole new world, in a whole new life.

You are perfect, they said.
Stop telling lies,
The girl you see outside
Is not the same on the inside.

Outside, she stood strong;
But those self inflicted wounds,
They spoke elsewise.

Did you ever know
That even though
Her metallic surface appeared strong,
There were cracks plastered over time,
Unnoticed weaknesses playing in her mind.

You may not notice her now
She's clinging to those railway lines
But when the train finally goes over
I hope you'll regret a while!
