A huge ball of fire,
That's what I am.
But look at me from far,
and I'm as tiny as an ant.
'I'm a star just like you,' the Sun says.
'But everyone knows who I am, mate.
When I rise, it's day.
But when you rise, people just go away.'
He may be right about that
But one thing I know.
Though the Sun is too well known,
When he's too near, people go home.
I don't want to be known
But I want to keep making everyone smile.
Cause for me, popularity means nothing
But a little ray of sunshine.
So I'll keep doing my duty
Cause I know those lovely folks down there
Love my tiny little spark in the night
It gives them hope during their nightmares.
And I know the God above
Has a special plan for me.
So till then, I'll keep twinkling
For all the world to see.

I was just thinking...If I ever published a poetry book, it would have a huge section which could also be labelled 'Animal Struggles' XD
I seriously have too many poems about animals...a poem on an ugly duckling, a bird in a cage, an unicorn and more. So I thought why not go for a little change! Haha I hope you liked this poem. We are almost at 1k reads, although I'm finding it a bit hard to accept that. XD
Also I'm having work so I won't be able to update this book during week days, like I used to do. But I'll update it once every weekend.
