It's been a week since we take the first semester. Today is the day, lalabas na ang resulta.
"You look awful, Nics."
I rolled my eyes when I saw Tag looking at me.
Hindi na lamang ako sumagot upang hindi na mapahaba ang usapan. Napansin n'ya ata na wala akong balak sagutin s'ya kaya't iba na ang ginulo n'ya.
I bit my lower lip. Pinasadahan ko ng tingin si Adelina sa kabilang row, until now she's not talking to me... to anyone.
I don't know her reason, yet. Hindi ito sumasagot sa mga messages ko, hindi din ito nag sasalita pag kinakausap ko s'ya.
Not the typical Adelina.
We all stood up when Attorney Carbonera entered the room.
"I have a meeting, I'll pass to President Mhae all the cases that you have to read." Idinikit nito ang malaking papel sa white board. "This is the result." He turn his eyes on us.
"Officers, finalize the incoming party." He cleaned his throat. "Next week, we will have a recit. I'll get going, good day." Tuluyan na itong lumabas, leaving us.
Bulungan ang bumalot sa buong silid simula ng lumabas si Atty.
"Guys, mas maayos siguro kung kami na 'lang nila Mhae yung mag isip ng gagawin, then send namin sa group chat yung mga suggestions, pili na 'lang kayo." Usal ng isa naming kaklase.
Hindi ko ito pinansin at binalingan ng tingin ang nagmamadaling si Adelina.
"Adelina!" Tawag ko ngunit tuloy tuloy 'lang itong naglakad hanggang sa makalabas na ng silid.
Tatayo na sana ako ng mapansin ko ang mabilis na paglabas ni Tag.
"Susundan ko pa ba?" I asked myself. Niligpit ko ang mga gamit ko saka tinignan ang naka-bukas na pintuan.
Ang iba ay umalis na habag ang mga officers ay nusap na ang iba sa paparating na event.
Okay, what should I do?
I frown. This is not me, I shouldn't be worried.
Babalik na 'lang ako sa condo...
No, susundan ko na talaga si Adelina.
"You shouldn't." Napaigtan ako ng huminto sa aking harapan ang walang kabuhay buhay na si Selik. "Mind your own problems. Don't comfort someone if you can't even comfort yourself." And then he left.
Yeah.
He's right.
I should be selfish, just like before.
