We run away the next year, only Magenta is unaware that WE are leaving.
She tried to leave without me; no consensual input on my behalf. But I caught on to her plan, and simply packed my stuff instead of making her evince.
I wonder idly if we escape the same way Red did. A few moments after my sister, I crawl through a vent in one of the empty, read cells/rooms/ metal boxes/prisons.
The ventilation system sends me tumbling into a strategically placed duvet on the ground.
I'm on the outside if the humming, electric fence. It was that simple? I briefly consider waking the other children and notifying them of this convenient escape route, but I am acutely aware of my retreating sister.
Shocked and brimming with adrenaline, I trail after Magenta silently, praying that she knows where she is going.
