His lips split into an other-worldly grin, and there he is...
My beautiful, iridescent boy.
I've been lead straight to him by my troubled sister (whom I can see in the arms of a pixie-like girl, sobbing) and there is no other decipherable thought aside from
Him.
"Red." I breathe, and the wolfish grin on his face widens.
"Blue." His voice is husky and soft, and as breathy as mine. I beam ecstatically at him, my smile full of pure ardor.
He crushes me to him, burying his Adonis face into my hair as hot tears cascade down my cheeks. "I told you I'd find you, didn't I, B?" he whispers "This was my new plan, love. It wasn't meant to drag on for so long," he throws a playful glare at my sister. "and it was terribly ungallant of me to make you suffer... but this I knew when I left, that we'd be together again."
I pull my head back and laugh at him, still sobbing, but grinning nonetheless. He winks, and I melt.
My mind is simply a scattered, kaleidoscopic mosaic of 'Red, Red, Red, Red, Red'
He presses his forehead to mine. "As self-abhorrent as I feel about putting you through that... I'm so glad you're here now Blue. So damn glad." I nod and press a chaste kiss to his lips, making him smile impossibly wider.
Magenta smirks warmly at us from across the room, and she nods her head to the girl in her arms and mouths 'Penni' making me giggle.
Casting my attention back to Red, he steps back from me and sticks his hand out, causing me to frown slightly. "Not a very social thing, are ya?" he murmurs and my breathing stutters, hastily shaking my head to play along.
"Fine by me. I'm Redmand, but please, call me Red." a shit-eating grin seems to have permanently settled on my face.
"I'm Blue." I whisper, and he winks.
"Red and Blue?" he pulls me back into his arms.
"I think we're going to make an absolutely unflappable team, love."
