A cave.
2 and a half days of walking an I find myself staring, incredulously, down into the dark pit through which Magenta just dropped to her knees and crawled.
The sun is setting in the sky and move down onto all fours, fear and excitement coursing through me.
I consider briefly that perhaps my sister is just insane, but shake the thought from my head and begin to crawl into a perpetual night.
Darkness shrouds me, unnerving in unexplainable ways. A laconic trickle of water drips to my right, and I can nearly TASTE the moss and moisture of the cave.
The darkness is palpable, filling every pore in my body and soaking me in unease. I imagine my pupils, expanded uselessly other the brown of my eyes until they're nearly as black as the cave.
