Lexi"s POV
I found the middle school which was harder then I thought. You would think that the builders would have made the stupid school easier to find. But NOOO. We had put it way out of the way and where no one would find it. Amaya started her fist day of Eighth grade.
"Hey Lexi, can I ask you something?" Amaya broke the silence.
"Yeah sure. What is it?"
"Can I come with you to your next fight?"
"No," I say.
"Why?"
"Because my next fight is tonight."
"And?"
"And its too late to call Allison(babysitter). You know that. And I wouldn't let you come anyway."
"WHY?" She was mad. I could tell. But Im doing this for her.
"Mya listen. It's not that I don't want you there. I would love nothing more then to have you there cheering me on at a fight or race. But this time is different."
"How is it different then any other time?"
"Because this time I don't know my opponent. He's new in town. "
"Which means?
"Which means I don't know is strength or weakness," if he has one. "That means I'm more likely to get hurt and I don't want you there to see that."
"Okay. I get that."
"Maybe next time."
"Okay. Is there a race also?"
"Yes but don't even think about asking."
"I wasn't. I was wondering what time you'll be home."
"It'll be like normal. I'll come home after the fight in time to get the boys in bed then I'll shower, change and be back before you know it."
"Alright."
"And no saying where I'm going to the boys please. They don't need more things to worry about."
"Okay." I could tell she was worried. It was in her voice. Today was hard for her I know. My mind wonders to how many tears if any she has shed in the last 24 hours.
"Hey."I looked at her while we were stopped at a light. "Look at me. I'm Gonna be okay. Ive fought guys like this before. They think they're all big at tuff. But you know what I kick their asses anyway. Im gonna be fine, there's nothing to worry about." She gave me a sad smile.
"I know. But I can't help it."
The rest of the ride home was quite accept for the Boy chatting about there day. It takes about 25 minutes to get back to our house from the boys school. I drive up to the gate and punch in my code.

Once we climb the very long drive and are in view of the three story house that I have called home since I was 11 and a half. By now its 4 o'clock. I have no more than 30 minutes to get my stuff and leave.
"Alright. Boys. Start on homework if you have any. Amaya. I need to talk to you in my room please." I say as we enter the house through the garage door. The boys went up to the second floor where Amaya's and their bedrooms were. While Mya and I made our way towards the third floor where my room is. My parents room is on the main floor. Grant, Connor, and Luke ( when they're here) stay in the furnished basement, since their rooms where remodeled to be our game room, fitness room and The baby sitter's room. She stays sometimes when I have to leave really late at night for a race or a party or something. Once mya and I reach my room I start to roam around and find things for the fight.
