Lexi's POV

I stood there mouth open when I saw the one and only Axel King step into the weight room of the school. What the fuck is he doing here? He's in the gang. Why is he in the school?

"Can I help you, Axel?" Derrick says breaking the award silence.

"I was gonna ask if you allow use of the equipment after school but during sports practice?"

"No." I answer for him. That is when I practice not anyone else. Plus I'm sure that he has WAY better equipment at some base of the Tigers.

IS that where my parents go when they leave for weeks on end?

I shake my head to get the thoughts out. Yes they lied to you... get over it.

"uh Lex This equipment can be used by any one who works for or goes to the school."

"I know that but he can't use it during that time. I train then. And when I train... I do it alone. In silence."

"Lexi I know you don't want to hear this but you will have to stop training and fight until the wrist heals completely and the nurse or one of your brothers will have to check to make sure You don't lie to me again."

"Yeah well that wasn't the first time and won't be the last." He rolls his eyes. "But you do have a point..... this thing hurts like a bitch. Ugh fine he can train here until this stupid wrist heals. And I'll stop fighting," like my dad will let me continue after he finds out about it.

"And?"

"Don't push it. I drove my bike here. Nothing is going to stop me from driving unless I'm dead." With that I walk out of the room and toward my locker to start the day full of hell.

~After School~

I ride straight home after School. I agreed with Derrick and will stay true to my word and not fight or train until this stupid broken wrist is healed. I also have to talk with my dad. He texted him during lunch and said that he needed to talk to me in his office when I get back home.

I park next to the other sports cars And make my way inside taking off the brace and stuffing it in my bag. My parents don't know about my Fights and races. I hope that I can tell them soon. If he really is going to tell me about him leading the Tigers I will.  I also want in. If he can trust the triplets with it why not me?

After setting my stuff in my room, I walk down to the main level towards my father office. As I'm walking i feel my anxiety kick in a bit. My hands start shaking and my shaky breaths start to  quicken. What the hell?! Why am I this nervous? I already know what he's gonna tell me.

I stop right outside the door to try and calm down my breathing and control the shake in my hands.

Breathe in. Out. In. Out.

I repeat that until Its controlled then knock on the door.

"Come in," I hear the muffled voice of my father. I hesitantly open the door and walk in.

HIs office is like any his and her office. Two matching desk on either side of the room facing each other, built in book selfs that surround the room,

I wonder if there's hidden doors in those

I shake my head to clear the thoughts. My father is sitting on the edge of his desk staring at me.

"I called you here because theres something I need to talk with you about." He eyed the chair in front of him. Taking at a hint to sit my ass down. I did. "This might come as a shock but your mother and I aren't lawyers." He pauses.

"I know," I say without thinking. "I was getting something to eat last night. I over heard you talking to mom and the triplets."

"Then you know that I am the leader of the tigers?"

"Yup."

"And..." his voice trails off wanting me to say something.

"And I know that the family is in danger. I also know that you don't want me in... but I know that the only way for me to protect the family is if I am a member," I get up and walk around the chair. "Dad, I know I can do it. I'm already fighting and racing your best people and wining . I can do this. Dad let me help protect my family. Please," I beg.

"I knew about your races and fights the moment you started Alexandra," his voice was lower than before filled with more emotion. "I know you want to and I know you are more than capable to but I can't let you join just yet. Its not that we don't trust you... it's your mother, she's scared you're gonna fall in and never make back to the real world. You should know that  I am the most proud of you than I have ever been."

"But-"

"No buts, you will help Axel protect the kids," his voice roared. "Then after we  will talk about you joining the Tigers, I promise. The Wolves and the threats are our biggest concern right now."

"What kind of threats are we talking about?"

"We've been rivals for years now. Every so often their leader  thinks he's got the power to and guts to kill me, my family and take over the Tigers. But he's never actually tired... until now. your mother and I were spoused to come back home weeks ago that was until one of his men took a shot at us. Thankfully nobody was hurt. He thinks that if he kills me and takes over he"ll be unstoppable.  What he doesn't know is that the Tigers are loyal their royal family and only them. if he tries to take over they will much rather die then serve him."

"Okay, so what gonna be happening, protection wise that is?"

"Axel is going to be staying here under the cover that he is our new foster kid. While the kids were at school today we managed to double up on the security system. You or Axel one will be staying with the kids 24/7. I'll be putting people to watch over the schools and the house," I nod as he speaks. "I'm not gonna lie. This might get a little scary for them."

"i can handle scared kids."

"Good. Now I need you to promise me something,"

"what's that?"

"No matter what kinda trick he pulls on you, be weary of the wolves leader."

"Deal."
