Tess was sitting in her office just thinking about her life. The club, James, her desire to become a mother.
Though the last one had been left in the back of her mind for a very long time. Since she had found out of Vincent's first affair. She had promised to herself that she wouldn't drag a child into that shit.
But she was with James now. And thank God she felt way better about this relationship. Deep down with Vince she had always known they wouldn't end up together.
But she felt immense happiness of just thinking of a future with James.
He had taken her out to dinner two nights beforehand and they had had the most amazing time.
About the moving Tess had been sleeping over at their apartment but she hadn't really moved her stuff from her past apartment. She had also not even given up her apartment.
Tess was sitting facing into nothing and slightly bitting her nails when her phone beeped.
She took it into her hands and smiled looking at the message.
You don't have to cook today babe. I am bringing over something so we can eat. I love you xx.
Yes!! They had finally said it. After getting home from dinner the other day. James had said it after their love making. She didn't doubt in saying it back and after that they both couldn't stop saying it.
They knew for someone else it would of seemed to quick. But it was their life and they felt it was the right moment.
They didn't have to be normal or traditional. They were far from traditional but Tess didn't care. As long as they were both happy the world could keep turning.
Tess was still thinking when there was a knock on her door.
"Come in." She said turning to look at Sean. She had a smile plastered on her face before she saw the expression of his face.
"What's wrong ?" Tess asked. But her answer got soon answered as Sean pulled from behind his back another notice from the bank.
Tess slowly stood up from her chair and went to take the letter from Sean's hands.
"I'll just leave you to read it." Sean said. He knew that every letter was difficult for her to read. Not only because it was her club but it was the only thing she had to remember her aunt for. Saving the club went way deeper than it being a business.
"Okay. Thank you." Tess said nodding and moving back to her chair. Sean just gave her a quick smile and headed out leaving her alone once again.
She sat down with the letter in front of her. She breathed in before deciding to just open it.
"Okay. Tess let's just do it." She took the letter and opened the letter reading what the bank had wrote.
She really didn't process anything else but the last line.
We are so sorry to inform you that your payment for the debt has been cut short. Please pay full amount by the end of this week or leave the establishment.
She quickly balled up the paper and threw it to the door. She got up from her desk and let the tears start to roll.
She had promised herself and her aunt she wouldn't lose the club but she had done just that.
She felt even a wave of anger come through her. Out of nothing she hit the lamp on her desk causing it to shatter against the floor.
She then fully broke out sobbing and sat down in the sofa with her head in between her hands.
