"Tauriel no."

"Why not?"

Tauriel had been arguing with one of the elven soldiers for a good ten minutes. Legols stood by, humored by the scene.

"She is right, i was told to notify Tauriel she was coming, he cannot change his mind like that, we are wasting time." Legolas stared straight into the elf's eyes.

"Kings. Orders." He replied and turned on his heel before striding out.

"Legolas, they can't stop me-"

"Tauriel," Legolas cut her off, "This is because of  Kili isn't it?"

She stared at him, he turned his head away, obviously hurt. She opened her mouth to speakbut he walked away.

"You shoudn't have come." Legolas said as the swiftly moved alongside the running river, jumping from rock to rock and dodging uprooted trees.

"You  know i wouldn't ever have taken no for an answer." Tauriel stared straight ahead and focused on running.

"Legolas, look." Tauriel pointed to the North-West of them.

A group of Orcs, around 20 of them Tauriel guessed.

Together they moved back into shadows and hoped they were undetected.

Barely a day and things are going wrong, she thought, what next?

For several hours they traveled before the barrels were in sight. The Orcs must have been aware of the dwarf compay as they seemed to be tracking them down the river as well. Tauriel hoped Kili was okay, She also hoped Legolas couldn't read her face.

Another hour later the Orcs came into the clearing, obviously trying to ambush the dwarves. Shouts arised from the barrels causing everyone occupying them to grab their weaons before the first few attacked. Tauriel looked to Legolas, her face pleading. He sighed and took off running along behind boulders closest to the water, waiting for an opening. Tauriel followed suit.
