CHAPTER TEN: Keep Up

LESLEY

So here I am listening to my brother with his pleasing eyes. "What do you want.". I said in a serious tone. His actions are way to old fashion. I know he wants something until he gets my permission. "I have training later, so you better hurry up.". He hesitated at first but he let it out.

"Me and my friends are planning to celebrate Nana's birthday.". Ah, I see. "How cute of you." I said teasingly, seeing him flustered and can't say anything makes me laugh. "She's a special friend, alright?". Ya yah, He's to young anyways.

"When and where.". I without hesitation.

"The day after tomorrow and After class, at Fantasia forest.". What?! Everywhere but that! I gaze at Harley and see his eyes begging to say yes. "Ugh, You know I hate that place ... I can't watch over you.". He sighed.

"Um, Granger will go!" Uh what now. Granger?! Is he insane? "Dude, I don't want you near him.". I refused at his opinion.

"He's the one currently taking care of Harith tho!". Him? HA! What a joke but if he is . . . ugh! "If you put yourself in trouble, I'll make your life in a cage got it?!". I shouted as he nod smiling.

I woke up and did my routine as usual. "Les, I hope you don't mind being my partner in this mission, right?". What the? Why did Gusion just randomly ask me this.

"What do you mean?" I asked in confusion. "Our first ever mission to complete at Assassin special class.". Ah, Right..

"Why me?" Yeah, why me, I mean I'm better than him.(Maybe? T^T).

"Well my friends ditch me, except you.". I mean Natalia seemed to be with Selena. Ugh, I'll just have to deal with it. "Fine, I have no choice.". I responded as he pull my arm and turn straight at the equipment room.

That hurt, What are we even doing here? "I want to know if you know how to self defense.". Wait do I look not capable of doing that? Just because I use a long range weapon?

"Its not about the weapons really, " he stopped and calmly smiled at me. "Its just how you protect yourself without it.". Oh, seems easy? I mean I learned a few moves on able to do it but not so great.

"Ah that self defense, I guess.". I said covering it up in a awkward laugh, yeah not so great.

He remove all of his daggers aside. I looked at my rifle. Well I guess its better to learn without it when it comes to circumtances. Alright, If thats what he wants. "Lets start, shall we?" he asked and winked at me. I rolled my eyes and take my coat off. Now that feels good.

"You look cool." he compliments as he did the same. Then it left him with a black shirt. We positioned ourselves and trianed.

Few hours later we still havent rested for a bit. "You have some good reflexes, I supposed.". Well, Sure I am cool. "What mission, exactly?". I asked, well he didnt exactly told me what kind of a mission it is. "An anonymous killer, killing all of the people at Moonlit Forest." Moonlit forest?

I heard they were very corrupted at some point. No wonder the killer went there. "Alright, let's just get this over with.". He nods with agreement.

We finished our training about 5hrs and 15 minutes. "You can change at the Locker room, I'll just change here.". He's gonna change here out in the open--? Whatever. I quickly took my extra clothes and went inside the locker room.

I feel cool now. Its still snowing outside but it lessen now. I peek before I left the room and saw Gusion, drinking a cup of water. I just notice jow tall he is. "Is there something on my face?" and I came back reality. I shook my head as a response.

"I'll leave first.". I said and walk out until, "Can I walk you at your Dorm?". Eh? I mean its not that bad. I smiled and nodded.

"Have any plans for tomrrow?" he asked. Tomorrow? I'll just study a few times and just go to sleep after. "Just a few books to read and sleep.". This is me, a very boring person in a cool way.

"That's a ...maybe come with me tomorrow.". Training again? "Its not what you think, just hanging out you know." I mean I don't have much important things to do so I guess having a friend would be nice.

"Alright, Can we go now?" I'm pretty much tired right now. He nodded as response. As we reach my room, I said my good byes and went straight to bed.

I rested my eyes and fell asleep.

1 day later

"Hey sis, remember what we agreed on.". What? I don't remember anything. First thing he said as I just woke up, what agreat greeting. "What do you mean?". I asked confusingly. He rolls his eyes at me. "Of course you forget about it already.". I chuckled at his grumpy face.

"Alright I remember now.". I excused and get up from bed. "Oh really now.". I dont wanna have an argue with this kid right now. After a few hours, We went downstairs and wait for the others to come up.

"Who's Birthday is it again?". He just gave me frown and he continues to patiently waiting for them. "If you don't response, I'm not letting you go.". I stated and smirk at him. "Its Nana's Birthday you dumbo.". Dumbo?!--

"Were here!". A boy named Harith with his horrified babysitter. He turned his gaze at me with his cold eyes. "Wheres Lylia?" Harley asked and looking at other direction. "I'm here you idiot.". The girl spoke behind me. Hm, I kinda like this girl. "Since all of you are, I have to go now." I said and gave Harley a big hug.

"Oh and Happy Birthday, Nana.". I said with a cute smile. She smiled sweetly at me as well. Alright I have to go now before that guy gone mad. While I'm coming closer to the place where we would meet up, A familiar voice that sounds about to cry.

I don't wanna eavesdrop but this is very intresting. "I Love you! You always know that! Why would you even suddenly in Love with a random girl?!". Dang is she talking about me? I mean I guess she does have a point there.

"Gwen! That's enough, I already told you the truth so drop the fact that I'm the one who saved you that day!". What the? Gosh my head itch right in the wrong moment. "I don't care! What about when we were kids?!". Is she that obsessed to Gusion?

"I have things to do." I heard Gusion as he losing his temper if Guinevere will speak again. Sh*t, I have to hide now.

"She's gone now, I know your there Lesley." me? Ugh Am I not that sneaky enough? "Get change, I'm preparing these stuff.". I guess he's not in the mood to take jokes right now. I nodded at him and got my clothes.

Same thing as we did yesterday. He actually has some good reflexes and I can give him that one. "Are you done looking at me?". "M-Me? Of c-course not!". What a great awkward laugh you there, Lesley. "Sure you do, anyways can you come with me.". Why so sudden and I'm very tired right now!

I glance at him, seeing him in a very sad face especially his eyes. Dang it, Whatever I cant resist this action of his. "Fine." I responded. He quickly grab my hand and ran outside. I have legs like seriously.
