Chapter 16

Eli's POV

"As you all know that I'm just a temporary CEO of Casa Grande Incorporated but I'm very honored to be here and speak to all of you. Casa Grande is a well known Real Estate, it's known because of it's great offers. I'm very happy because up until know the business that was made by my Dad Oliver Hudson and my Tito Thomas Davis is still successful. Sadly they're not here but still I wan't to tell how proud I'm to them, dad and tito you've come not only as a great businessmen but also as a great bestfriend's for eachother. I believe that this company wouldn't be as successful without your strong relationship for eachother. I would like to thank my Tito's, Theodore Davis and Owen Hudson for managing our branches in Laguna and Batangas, for the investors who didn't stop on trusting us, for the managers of our company who didn't get tired of handling their tasks, thank you. Lastly to Elianna Samantha Davis, thank you for doing your best to help the company despite of having other work you still manage to become a responsible COO I hope to work with you longer. That's all let's now engjoy our celebration for the 40th anniversary of Casa Grande, thank you." He said then wen't down from the stage.

Nang banggitin niya kanina ang pangalan ko ay halos tumalon ang puso ko, at least he appriciated my efforts. Hindi ko napigilan na mapangiti dahil duon at napainom nalang ako ng wine.

"Thank you for that wonderful speech Mr. Hudson, the food will now serve to all of you and also we have a dance floor so everyone are free to dance with their partners."
Sabi ng emcee.

Nakita ko sa gilid ng mata ko na umupo na saking tabi si Renz, the food are already served to us kaya nag umpisa na kaming kumain.

Some investors or businessmen come over on our table to talk to Renz o kaya kela tito. I stand up to get a wine and para nadin makipag socialize.

"So you are the model right?" Isang mid 30's na babae ang kumausap saakin.

"Yes, I'm Elliana Davis." Sabi ko at nakipag kamay.

"You must be talented since you managed to become a model while handling your father's company."

"Not really ma'am since my sched in modeling is not that hectic that's why I can focus more on the company. Actually it's hard since business is not my field." I explained then smiled at her.

Tumango tango lang siya at nakipag kuwentuhan pa saakin, may iba ding mga businesswoman o asawa ng mga investors ang lumapit para makipag usap saakin.

Napansin kong may nag sasayaw na sa gitna, I smiled at some old couples. They're look so cute, kahit na busy ang trabaho kapag business hindi padin nila nakakalimutan yung mga taong mahal nila sa buhay. How I wish that love is that easy.

"Attention I would like to request to our CEO to dance Ms. Davis since hindi pa natin sila nakikitang sumayaw ngayong gabi isn't that great?" Biglang sabi ng emcee na ikinagulat ko.

Agad na nagkantyawan ang mga tao dito sa venue gosh! Bakit kaylangan pa niya sabihin iyon.

"No it's alright." I said waving my hand kahit na alam kong hindi niya ako maririnig.

Nakita kong may naglahad ng kamay sa gilid ko at pag angat ko ng tingin ay si Renz iyon. He bended and whisper something on my ear.

"For the show, please."

Alright just for the show, tinanggap ko ang kamay niya at sa pag tanggap kong iyon ay unti unting kinukurot ang puso ko.

Nag punta kami sa gitna kasama at agad na nag palakpakan ang mga tao sa venue. He hold my hand and put it on his broad shoulder while his is on my waist. We danced slowly, napalunok ako dahil sa posisyon namin. I can't even look straightly on his eyes, while him! Parang walang pake sa iniisip ko at mataman lang akong tinititigan.

"Y-you did well on your speech." Sabi ko para mawala ang awkwardness.

"Thanks." Tipid niyang sabi.

"How long are we going to dance?" I asked.

"Can't you just enjoy it? Ganun mo na ba talaga kagustong tumigil?"

I look into his eyes and I saw pain, why? Why are you hurting?

Flashback

"You look so beautiful love."

Agad naman akong napangiti dahil duon, yinakap ko siya ng mahigpit.

"You look so handsome too."

It's our prom and of course si Renz ang partner ko. Sumakay na ako sa sasakyan niya at nag punta na kami sa venue kung saan gaganapin ang prom night.

We ate and have a chat with friends, it's one of the most memorable night for me because I'm dancing with the man that I love.

"I love you Eli." He said while we're dancing slowly.

"I love you too Renz." Sabi ko at niyakap siya.

"Promise me that you won't give up on us no matter what happened." Bulong niya sa tenga ko.

I tear escaped on my eye at agad ko iyon pinunasan buti nalang at magkayap kami kaya hindi niya nakita iyon.

"I-i promise." Sa pag bigkas ko ng mga katagang iyon ay unti unting winawasak ang puso ko.

Pero imbes na alahanin ang problema ay sinulit ko nalang ang gabing iyon kasama siya.

End of flashback

Hindi ko namalayan na tumulo na pala ang luha ko, agad ko iyon pinunasan at bumitiw sa pag sayaw para maka alis.

Bago pa ako maka alis ng tuluyan ay agad niyang hinawakan ang braso ko.

"What's wrong? Why are you crying huh?" He asked na para bang wala akong karapatan na masaktan at umiyak.

"Let go Renz." Madiin kong sabi, umiling iling siya at dahan dahan na binitawan ang braso ko.

I don't know but why it feels like I don't wan't him to let go of me? Sa pag bagsak ng braso ko mula sa pag kakahawak niya ay ang pag bagasak din ng luha ko. Agad akong tumalikod at nag punta sa restroom, duon ko binuhos ang luha ko hanggang sa mapagod ako.

This time I'm really determined to move on from the past. Lumabas ako ng restroom na namumula ang mata, wala na akong pake sa sasabihin ng iba I just wan't to get my clutch bag and leave this place.

Nang makarating na sa table ay agad kong kinuha ang clutch ko.

"What happened to you Eli?" Tanong ni Ms. Sheila.

"I'm leaving, enjoy the party." I said at hindi na inantay ang sasabihin nila.

Bago pa ako makalabas ay nahagip ng mata ko si Renz at Natalie na masayang nag kukuwentuhan, I felt a stab on my chest. Nahuli ako ni Renz na nakatingin sakanila kaya nag iwas ako ng tingin at lumabas na ng venue.

You should move on Eli! This time gawin mo na talaga! I felt the cold breeze hugging me. Ngayon ko lang naalala na sabay nga pala kaming nag punta dito ni Renz fuck! Pano na ako uuwi ngayon?

I tried to call Sandra but she's out of reach, nag pakuha ako ng taxi sa guard at habang  nag aantay ay umupo muna ako dito sa hagdan habang yakap yakap ang sarili.

"Let's go I'm driving you home." Said a baritone voice behind me.

"You should stay longer, nag pakuha na ako ng taxi I can go home alone." I said without looking at him.

"Don't be stubborn le-"

"I'm. Not. Stubborn. Renz." Sabi ko habang mataman siyang tinignan, nakita ko na dumating na ang taxi na pinatawag ko kaya agad akong sumakay duon at nag pahatid na sa condo ko.

I'm tired when I get there, humiga agad ako sa kama ko pagkadating ko sa unit. I'm tired physically and emotionally.
