Chapter 17: It is Grace

TRISHA was in her office and she was arranging the documents that needed the CEO's signatures when her phone rang and Veronica's name popped up.

She then answers the call. "Yes Ms. Vee?"

"Trisha. Si Grace to."

Napaayos ng upo si Trisha at napatingin ulit sa pangalan ng tumawag and still it was Veronica's name.

"Sinong Grace?" Trisha asked but her gut feeling already told her kung sino.

"Trisha, anong gagawin ko?"

Napatayo si Trisha at napamasahe sa noo niya dahil kahit kay Veronica ang boses, iba naman ang tuno ng boses niya. She's been serving Veronica for years kaya kabisado na niya ang tono ng pananalita ni Veronica but this time her tone of voice is different. Malumay ito at mahinhin at isa lang pumasok sa isip niya.

"Anong nangyari?"

"Hindi ko alam ehh. Nagising ako kasama na yung pinsan ni Terrence sa isang kwarto at... at sinaktan ako. Si Terrence ang nakahanap sa amin."

Trisha knew about Nicole, she heard about her from Veronica and how this woman flirted with Veronica's husband.

"Alam mo ba kung kailan kayo babalik dito?" Tanong niya.

"Hi-hindi ko alam. Wala naman silang nabanggit."

"Alright, Grace as much as possible umiwas ka muna sa kanila. Avoid talking to them lalo na kay Nicole o kay Leah. Kung hindi talaga mapigilan, just act natural. "Salamat at tinawagan mo agad ako and by the way, alam mo na kung ano ang gagawin mo diba? Gaya ng nakaugalian. Leave a voice message in Veronica's phone para malaman ni Veronica ang mga nangyayari. Tell her what happened. Record everything please."

"Gagawin ko Trisha, wag kang mag alala."

"Thank you. I'll call you back later. Bye." Trisha ended the call and massaged her temples.

Nang dahil sa kanya kaya lumabas si Grace at sigurado siyang pag nalaman ito ni Veronica hinding hindi niya ito mapapalagpas lalo na at si Grace ang nag front para sa kanya.
