Hey guys, so I'm starting a month long prompt challenge that I got from Casuallyy

I'm not sure if I'll be able to do the whole month, but I'll try my best, and I'm going to do my best to get at least to August 16th (definitely not because I already have that oneshot written out because I had a lot of inspiration for it, nah, definitely not!) But let's get to the oneshot!

Scar was always known as being an energetic person, despite his many scars, and his tendency to acquire injuries that left him bedridden for a day. So, when one day, Scar respawned and felt that he had to put more effort into simple tasks like walking or running, and had trouble breathing, he stayed in Larry, and Grian did his best to help him.

Even though Grian insisted that he was happy to help out a friend, Scar couldn't help but to feel guilty that he was taking up so much of Grian's time. Especially when his condition seemed to get worse after Scar tried to walk around Larry.

"So, this has happened before, but never as long as this?" Stress had come over with Xisuma when Grian finally told Scar that they should try to figure out what was going on. Scar nodded silently, and Stress continued, "You should have told us! We could have helped you before it got this bad!" She scolded, before having Scar take a deep breath. He did so, with much difficulty.

Xisuma was looking at his admin screens, more specifically at Scar's player profile. Grian was looking over his shoulder, seeming to be able to read the Galactic (which Scar could see due to the screens being semi-transparent), just as well, if not better than Xisuma was able to. And one point, Xisuma wrote something out on the side of the screen, and Grian read it and nodded, pulling out his communicator.

"So you said it was all temporary before?" Xisuma asked

Scar nodded, looking at Grian, trying to read his expression when he looked up from his communicator, as he couldn't see Xisuma's face through the helmet. He looked almost nervous? "Well," Xisuma started, "According to your player profile, its permanent now, and I can't fix it with commands. It's a neuromuscular disease"

"W-what?" Scar stuttered out with difficulty, any of the remaining energy he ususally had leaving him.

"I'm sorry, Scar. For now you'll have to use a wheelchair, until we, the redstoners, can find a way to make a machine that would allow you to walk again" Xisuma apologized.

"And what about his breathing?" Stress butted in, concern lacing her voice.

"We already have Doc working on a temporary Ventilator right now, he'll drop it off when it's done. Unfortunately, the it's really the most we'll ever be able to do for your breathing, Scar."

The days leading up to the completion of the machine what would help Scar walk were some of the gloomiest he had. He found it very hard to go anywhere in his wheelchair, so he stuck around the magical village, apart from the few times Griam helped Scar over to his hobbit hole and mansion. During this time, he got a more permanent Ventilator. And when the redstoners had finished engineering a machine, which Xisuma told him was made of redstone, but the only reason it would be able to work was because of the small amount of watcher magic Grian contributed, though a little reluctantly, as he had left that life behind.

When the machine done, Xisuma fitted it around Scar and helped him try to stand. Scar did so, shakily, but it was a start! His steps were hesitant at first, but they grew more confident the more he walk, though he didn't dare try to run. His normal enthusiasm and energu started coming back as he realized he wasn't going to be wheelchair bound forever. Of course, he wouldn't be able to fly, but he could walk or boat to most everywhere in the world that he would need to visit!
