I woke up in the same spot as I went to sleep in and almost the exact same position as yesterday. The only difference was that I didn't have to roll over to face him... He looked so peaceful in his sleep... His features softened and made it seem like he put the weight of the world down for just a moment. I couldn't help but to admire him in this moment. The strength he had being forced into the wolf pack and somehow was still his kind, goofy self. I used my one untrapped hands and gently cupped his jaw. Even in his sleep he nuzzled into my hand and I couldn't help the small smile on my face. Today is going to change my life even more than the last two days... But I hope Jay and I never do. He is my home and I have never felt safer than in the arms of my best friend. Jay has always been like a brother to me which is why we both felt so comfortable doing stuff like this. We love each other but in a platonic/sibling way.

When he finally started to stir, I slowly leaned up and kissed his forehead, but it was a little difficult since he is taller than me. He smiled a little and moved to bury his head in my neck and just barely mumbled a "good morning". My smile just grew...

"Come on sleepy head! Today we get to have Esme's cooking! I get to meet new people even though they are vampires but still... Anyways come on!!! I was hoping that we could take your bike over since you had promised me a ride... PLEEEAAASSSEEE???" *que puppy eyes*

"Ok, Ok... I'm up... Can you tone it down a little? I know you like food and new people but seriously... BREATHE. We don't need to get you a paper bag before we have even left the house... And quit it with that look... You know it isn't necessary and I had already planned on us taking the bike." He may have sounded mad, but he was smiling through it... He is so use to my antics that we just laugh about my excitement over the smallest things.

"Then let me up you goof... It takes longer to make this hot mess presentable and all you have to do is change clothes! So, not fair honestly..." I grumbled the last part which caused another round of his laughter but at my expense... But he finally relented and let me up so I could shower.

By the time I was done, Jay was still unsurprisingly laying in my bed... He was awake but seriously? I just told him he either needed to get out or he was going to see parts of me that he would rather not see again... And that worked like a charm as he bolted from the room. It's nothing he hasn't seen before, thanks to a stupid dare a few years back, but he still had his awkwardness about the female body... I really need to find him a girl so he can get over that Bella chick...

I turned on my playlist simply titled Home, and the first song to play was my favorite country song (She's Country by Jason Aldean)! I cranked it up and danced around my room while getting ready just as happy as can be. Once that song finished, I was on to trying to tame my hair it turned into more a personal concert as I sang along to Backwoods by Justin Moore with my brush as a mic.

Lordy have mercy it's a real good life

In the backwoods, workin' hard for a dollar in the

Backwoods yeah we get it done right

I was interrupted by laughing behind me... "Really Jay, you can't knock or at least cough before you start laughing at me? 'Bout gave me a heart attack... Christ almighty Jacob..." What will I ever do with him...?

"Sorry to interrupt the show but we have about an hour before we have to head out so hurry it up miss country star."

"I know you're not sorry, but I should be done shortly anyways. Thanks for the heads up though!"

As I'm finishing up some light makeup and putting my hair in a braid, my last song comes on and I couldn't help but break out and dance even more. My Kinda Party by Jason Aldean is my life! And I am thankful that I was able to get one final tan before leaving Georgia...

Oh baby, you can find me

In the back of a jacked-up tailgate

Sittin' 'round watchin' all these pretty things

Get down in that Georgia clay

That has got to be the only thing I miss about back home... All those lifted trucks and going mudding with the boys. But in this area, I highly doubt there are any areas safe enough to ride like that... Maybe-

"Jay! Are there any places around here for a decent mudding trip?" Please say yes...

"I swear, you and mud will forever go hand in hand... Even dressed up, you can't help but want to be outdoors... There may be a spot near by but we don't have a decent enough truck for the way you drive... Sorry Vicky, but maybe we can make a trip down to a dealership and get you one, once whatever this is has settled."

"THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! You are the best! And hopefully Billy and I can explain things to the pack tonight, it really depends on how comfortable I am feeling after this... And thank you again for going with me. I know that they aren't exactly your favorite people, but it means the world to me that you are willing to go."

"Vicky, I wouldn't dream of letting you do this alone. I may not know what this is yet, but you are my family and my best friend. You swore Ride or Die, and I swore Always. Thick and thin, we will get through it together." He pulled me into a hug and then we were off to see the Cullens.

*(We're off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of Oz)*
