Chapter 18

"Can I please change back?" I ask the guys inside the room

Old Major and Koda immediately get up and mumble a goodbye as they close the door behind them knowing Damien wasn't following them. I pulled the cork which was keeping the water in the bath and watched as the water drained out and I shifted back to my human form.

I found a towel and wrapped it around myself before looking at Damien who had watched my every move.

"I'm sorry, I swear," I step closer to him only for him to take a step back

"You've been lying to me since I met you," he says

"I know and I-" he cut me off

"I don't care," he says coldly before opening the door and leaving

A sigh left my lips as Koda tossed some clothes into the room. I put the clothes on and put the towel back on its rack before I open the door to the bathroom seeing Koda waiting for me.

"I assume he left?" I ask quietly

"Yeah, he left," Koda tells me softly

A sigh leaves my lips and I tangle my hands in my hair.

"I need to go home," I mumble before grabbing Koda's hand and trailing down the stairs with him behind me, "Thank you, Old Major," I tell him softly

"No problem, and he'll come around sooner or later, don't sweat it," he tells me

I sigh, "I hope so," I say before we say bye again and leave

By now, it was the morning, it may not have felt like it, but my shift took hours and it was pretty early in the morning, but I'm sure my friends and family are awake.

We go to the edge of the woods where I was the first night that I ran away.

I go behind a tree and take off my clothes and tie them to my ankles before shifting. I came from behind the tree and looked at Koda who had also shifted and tied his clothes to his ankles.

'Follow me.' I tell him through the midnlink before I run

I run at a pace for him to keep up, but was more like a trot for Jasmine. 

We run for like 20 minutes before we had arrived at the borders of my old pack. I watch warriors come and hold their weapons.

'Relax guys, its me' I say through the mindlink that I still had with my old pack making them put their weapons down

"Good to see you, Summer," one of the warriors says making my fox nods its head in his direction

Koda and I walked in our wolf form all the way to the packhouse before I easily opened the door. 

I saw my friends and my brother on the couch and they all screamed as they saw me and lunged at my fox wrapping their arms around me. I jumped on hunter and licked all over his face in happiness, had I not seen my brother in almost a month.

"Okay, okay, stop," he says

I get off him and trot to the kitchen to shift before putting my clothes on. Koda went and shifted before coming back.

I saw him look at Evelyn before they both said the same thing, "Mate," 

"I knew it!" I jumped up and started dancing while singing, 'I knew it' over and over again making everyone chuckle at me

"So, how was it?" Emily asks

"I got 2 shifts," I tell them making everyone except Hunter squeal, but they all wrapped their arms around me.

Tristan lifted my head to look at the mark on my neck that was unique for everyone and their mate. Mine was a paw tattoo that formed after Damien marked me and he had the same.

"You guys' have the cutest one," Emily gushes

"I like yours'," I tell Emily and Hunter

"It's a star," Hunter says

"I like the stars," I tell them making them giggle

Our laughter was cut off as the door opened and his smell hit my nose, "Uh oh," I said before I ran up the stairs with Emily, Evelyn, Tristan and Koda behind me as we went into my room and locked the door

"What's going on?" Evelyn asks

"He is going to kill mee," I tell them crawling under my bed

I heard a knock on the door and some idiot unlocked it.

"Where is she?" he asks my friends 

I hear silence as Damien looks around my room before grabbing my arm and pulling me from under the bed and into his arms.

A nervous chuckle leaves my lips as I look at his red eyes, "H-H-Hi babe,"
