Chapter Two
Another month has passed and I'm still that girl that people are talking about. I packed my things and went to the washroom. When Tony and jane called my name and say
"Christine pwede ba tayo mag usap?"
I walked toward them when suddenly Tony grab my hand.
"Sorry nga pala sa mga nagawa ko sayo christine..." Nakatungong sabi ni tony.
When i'm about to walk away tony and jane grab my hands and tied me on the basement where no one can hear me and see me. They locked the door and leave me behind. I heard them laughing
"What a useless girl." "Sa tingin nya ba makikipag ayus ako sa kanya. Ang dali lang pala nyang lokohin." Then laugh while leaving me.
It was already end of our class when luckily ren was about to get something from here. Not knowing i'm here slept cause of tiredness.
"Christine.... Christine... Hey wake up...
"Why are you here?"
"And why are you all tied up?"
He untied me and gave me water to gain my energy. And stand up and walk away without saying a word.
"Christine... San ka pupunta? Di ka man lang mag papasalamat?" Iritang tanong nya.
Napahinto ako at sumagot
"Hindi ko naman sinabing iligtas o pakawalan mo ako. Ikaw tong may gustong gawin un. Nang-hihinang naglalakad paalis.
"Iba na talaga sya... Hindi naman sya ganyan noon... Sya ang may pinaka-magandang ngiti sa mga kaklase namen noon. Hindi ko maalala kung bakit sya nagka-ganyan. Tuwing inaalala ko kasi sumasakit ang ulo ko. Nung araw na un wala akong ma-alala." Tanong ko sarili habang tinitingnan syang nag lalakad palayo
I need to go to the washroom to change my cloths. So i can go home now. Its already late 4:36 in the afternoon. When i'm about to cross the road i hear a voice calling my name.
"Christine.. Hey wait up.."
I see lesly running and smiling while calling my name.
Lesly is a friend of ren but i don't know why are they doing this. I mean no one wants me to be thier friend but ren and lesly, why are they not leaving me? A question to myself.
"Are you going home?"
I didn't talk back.
"Ren told me that you two are friends"
She said with a smile on her face.
"I don't have friends. I don't want to have a friends."
"Just stay away from me". She receives from me while looking at her with my look.
Lesly's mind
Ohhh so it's true, she have this cold eyes. That's why people are always afraid of her because of her cold eyes. There's something on her eyes. She must be hiding something within those eyes. But what is that? That's for me to find out.
"Wait where is she?" ( finding side to side)
"Tsk... I lost her."
The next day
The class was about to start. And our prof just arrived.
"Good morning students. You don't need to stand up. Say present if your here."
Mr. Tony, Astro?
"Here...? Tinatamad na sagot
Miss. Jane, Beetle?
"Present." naboboring na pag sagot
Our prof continue calling our classmates.
Mr. Ren, Dantes?
"Here sir" with a raise of a right hand.
Miss. Lesly, Sy?
"Sir... " nakangiting pag sagot
Ok and lastly Miss. Christine, Solem?
No words.
Absent?
"Sir present" Nagmamadaling sabi ni lesly and pointed me.
"Ok students lets start."
Our prof continue discussing his lessons.
While tony continue teasing me in other words bullying me. He cuts a half or my hair while jane is slapping me on my four head.
Then they faced me. But they were shack I didn't cry or something. I was like .. I have no emotions.
I'm starring to our prof like it was nothing. And face them suddenly. And...
"Is it my turn?" I asked with a pocker face look.
I see there eyes suddenly feels afraid
When i'm about to stand up the bell rang its already lunch break.
I get my scissor from my bag and they step backwards they thought that I was going to do something. I walked out, heading to the washroom to plain their cuts.
Everyone was shack to my new style of hair.
Laying on my bed
Here in my room. I feel safe. I feel no judgement. I feel no harm that no one can hurt me.
Then I slowly close my eyes tempted to fall asleep.
"Sleep is only my freedom."
Palagi ko parin napapanaginipan ang araw na un. Ang araw na iniwan ako ng lahat. Walang matatakbuhan, walang malalapitan, walang kasama at inaayawan. They abandoned me.
