Maagang nagising si Leo tulad ng nakagawian niya. Naghain na rin siya sa lamesa at nag-iwan muli ng post-it note.
Suot ang hoodie jacket niya ay lumabas siya sa inuupahan nilang bahay ni Cassey. He put his helmet on then start the engine of his motorcycle then drive it.
After a couple of minutes, he finally arrived on his boss' house, Ross Contes.
"Trix..." Pagtawag ni Leo sa pangalan ng kaibigan na nakasandal lang sa dingding ng bahay ni Ross.
"Hey!" Tanging sinabi ni Trix sa kaibigan.
"Wala na bang ititipid ‘yang mga salita mo?" Ani Leo na hinaluan pa ng tawa.
Trix just smirked at him then put the edge of the cigarette on his mouth and sipped it then took out the smoke from his mouth.
"May nangyari ba kaya ka naninigarilyo ngayon?" Leo asked.
He knew that Trix just smoking when something bad happened.
"You want it?" Pag-aalok ni Trix sa kaibigan habang nakalahad rito ang isang pakete ng sigarilyo at isang lighter.
He shook his head. "No thanks. I quit smoking."
He quit on smoking because of his girlfriend. He doesn't want Cassey to be mad at him just because of him doing smoking.
"Because of her" Trix said, not a question but a statement.
He look at Trix then nodded even though Trix is not looking at him. "Yeah. You know that I love her so much."
"Love" Trix whisper but he heard it. "Psh! There's no true love."
After Trix said it, he put the edge of the cigarette on his mouth again then look at the sun who's already showing up.
"There is, Trix. Hindi mo lang kayang buksan ‘yang puso mo para makita mo na meron talaga" Leo said.
Trix chuckled then look at Leo. "I won't open it until I die. Everyone will just use you to get what they want then dump you when they're done."
"Hindi lahat gano'n, Trix. Subukan mo din kasi para mabago ‘yang binuo mong paniniwala sa sarili mo" ani Leo na masuyong nakatingin sa kaibigan.
Trix didn't say anything. He just look away.
"Maniwala ka sa ‘kin, Trix. Every monster can turn into a good one. Even the wildest animals can take care of their prey when they open their heart" paliwanag ni Leo sa kaibigan.
"And then after that, what?" Trix asked and Leo didn't know what to say. "Not all the wildest animals are the same as what you example. A prey is a prey. They are destined to be eaten by the predators."
Hindi na nagsalita pa si Leo dahil kahit na anong gawin niya ay wala siyang mapapala kakapaliwanag kay Trix.
Masyadong matigas ang puso ni Trix at bumuo ito ng isang mataas at makapal na pader para walang makapasok sa buhay nito.
"Trix, Leo, Mr. Ross is in his office. He's looking to the both of you" Carl said, one of the puppet of their boss.
Umalis sa pagkakasandal sa dingding si Trix at inapakan ang ibinato niyang sigarilyo bago naglakad papasok ng bahay ni Ross.
Sumunod naman si Leo sa kaibigan. Wala silang imikang dalawa hanggang sa makarating sila sa opisina ni Ross.
"Boss" Leo said when they enter the room while Trix just walk inside.
"How's the transaction to Mr. Abelardo yesterday?" Ross asked using his cold voice, still looking at the newspaper in his hands.
"Good. They agreed on your proposal" ani Leo.
